Can see it being the case on a used vehicle, or with a cheaper brand. But would expect better from VW.
Will contact the lease company and get them to deal with it.

My wipers have been replaced with some Bosch ones, the silence is bliss. The standard fit ones are so bad. Ive got a company coming out to give mine a full once over with a buffer and to touch up a chip that was there from delivery. Having the car as a company car means ive been able to get things sorted out at my leisure rather than VW's.

Is that VW paying for the paint correction?
I must admit that when I went to pick up my new company car my annoyance at the wonky front numberplate, poor paint match on the bumpers and interior scratches was soon replaced with "meh, it's a company car"
Only picked it up last week and it's already got 1100 miles on it and is constantly exposed to less than ideal car parks so I would drive myself mad if I was too precious about it.
What are people's thoughts on the Kia 6 GT and the enyaq VRS.
VRS looks more practical, Kia 6 GT just sounds like so much fun with all that power, be like being back on a bike off the lights!
Edit, Kia warranty transfer from what I've read, but maybe not the full warranty and does it go on for the whole 7 years?

Yep they are paying for it, i know what you mean though, its a work horse at the end of the day, but **** a point of principle, its a 55k car, the dealer should make some blooming effort!

I tried the VRS and GT line EV6, i liked both. Enyaq was the more practical car, but the interior felt a bit low rent, the EV6 was a cooler looking car. Both great cars tbh.
Brother Iin law has an EV6, not sure what model, but know it's not the GT. But at least I can try it for space etc.... without having to deal with car sales people. I'll see him over Xmas, so can give it a good look over.
I do like the look of the EV6.
Might have to go and have a look at the enyaq vrs, just seems it's a lot of money, but the vrs spec doesn't give you much.

The wipers were brand new when I got the car
And have been poor since the day I got itVW just asked me to polish the windscreen as it could have contaminants on it.
Must say really not sold on their customer service.

Mine were crap from day 1, I initially put up with them thinking they might ‘wear in’ .

Same with the I-Pace. The standard for wipers were removed after a few months due to the same judder problem. Some Bosch soon fixed that and they are still good over two years later.

No issues with any of mine and I change cars once the washer fluid is low.
Dropped off my M5 Comp at Sytners this morning for some recall work to get done and got an i4 edrive40 M Sport as a courtsey car. Was quite excited as this was my first experience of an electric car and cant say I was that impressed, it wasnt as whisper quiet as I was expecting (quite a bit of road noise) and I definately missed the noise (and the M5 doesnt even sound as good compared to the E63S I had before). Not convinced about the new interior styling either as it felt a bit cheap
Overall a dissapointing experience, perhaps I need to try an i5 M60 or a Taycan for something more interesting

When car manufacturers advertise the battery capacity is this normally the usable or installed capacity? Only reason is on the Ford Puma EV price list it shows 55kWh battery installed and 43kWh usable? Which seems a bit odd? Or is this a reflection of just slapping an EV drive train into a pre-existing ICE chassis and having to be very conservative about ranges etc?

Manufacturers use either number and some don’t make it very clear which it is they are referring to.
Some manufacturers don’t even list it as a specification and just list the WTLP range.
As for Ford’s range numbers, the WLTP test cycle is the test cycle at the end of the day and they want to maximise what ever that number is for marketing purposes.

Perhaps in this specific case it's because they have supply of 53kWh batteries from other models and they're using the same battery cross platforms but in different capacities - a little like the way manufacturers have been using the 'same engine' in various cars at different states of tune. Admittedly, it'd be a little odd to waste 10kWh of capacity just to introduce some kind of performance/range scale when you have to lug it around everywhere.
I guess the other possiblity is they have a 55kWh battery installed and from their testing, the only way to get the battery to last x amount of year for warranty purposes, they have to limit the usable amount to 80%? 80% of 55 comes to around 43-44?
