e: I had used the free version and thought it's verbal directions telling me to take a roundabout junction without previously telling me to leave duel carriagway exit junction, were poor, vs google

You haven’t either, I had to pay for a TRONITY subscription to feed the API from my IPACE to ABRP for real consumption and even then it’s just a guess.

But then jpaul trying to expel his knowledge and wisdom to us is a bit like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
 
A bunch of the EVs have jumped up quite a bit on my salsac. The Renault Scenic I was looking at is now £300 more a month. I'm resigned to a July swap-out date anyway; and they fluctuate so often it might go down.

Which is odd as the Scenic is now the lowest it has been on PCH. The Renault Scenic E-Tech 160kW Techno 87kWh Long Range is ~£315pm on 1+23, 5k deal with a lowish cost per mile after that as well.

Yep super odd.

The Model Y has only gone up 2 quid tho - 806 to 808.

How much does that even save against taking the pay and then just leasing one directly + insurance, since no servicing on Tesla needed and you'll not be changing the tyres for 20-25k miles?

I need to bin the cash, especially with childcare increasing to 30hrs free in September. So probably not much cheaper for someone with different circumstances
 
Same on mine. Think VED got added into the costs as assuming post 1 April delivery. Plus BIK increases is factored now. Born VZ went from 370 ish to 430. 10k 3yr

As said before Goldilocks period is going. Time to get the V8 back out. 27mpg earlier pleased me

Depreciation is always the biggest cost on all these deals tbh

Sal sac will be 40% of the gross if you are in that place of the tax regime
 
Is the Sal sac screwing you in the gross though, usually that’s the biggest issue that the direct price is much lower (not quite 40% granted)

so, tell us, did ABRP then improve ranges estimates (yes I didn't know the ins an outs of getting car data into abrp but knew it was possible) - this is potentially a useful add on to ev ecosystem,
like the 3rd party battery warrantied health checks.
 
Didnt care enough to try it properly as im not doing long runs, to give steady state confident consumption - the long term trim with Pivi is much better day to day anyway for inbuild satnav with predicted range. I simple dont have the interest to over complicate stuff when I have more than enough range every day for driving, but then im only 4 years into EV owenership and only done 13,500 miles in my current car since April.

Please ask me, but never command me to 'tell us' if you dont mind. I would suggest you take 2025 to reflect and improve you grammar and posts - less is more.

ABRP is a massively overrated application in my view, you need premium to get it working in carplay anyway! Its a n00b red flag IMO.
 
Yup ABRP is pretty meh, quite good for an initial route plan but using for guidance is an absolutely terrible idea

I also linked to Tronity on wife's Born but it didn't really change much. Just meant it would have the live SoC for starting route planning rather than having to input it manually lol

They're definitely screwing you in the gross but it's still a fully insured car (anyone over 21, under 70) with nil deposit. Hard to make maths beat that, even if you can lease a car for comparable price. Especially with EV insurance starting to go a bit silly.
