Is there an hosting site for videos, I've had the Cops round today for some banter and they took away the CCTV video (well I emailed it)?
I could upload to You Tube I suppose.

Here you go for top level banter, I can see him getting in trouble for this now the Police have got it.
the neighbour opposite has a 40+ year old son who still lives with them but he ain't no b*m boy.

What is "certify"ing someone?

but he ain't no b*m boy.
 plenty more fish in the sea SGF.

Not much news on the EV front then if we are discussing pointless videos ;)

Let me ask anyone here with a 58kWh ID.3 what their typical summer and winter combined driving ranges are. Also typical DC rapid charging speeds and range on motorway as well. Thanks.

Would also be nice to know if mobile app functionality still allows you to precondition the car without any subscription fees etc.

I know EVDB is usually quite accurate but would genuinely appreciate any actual owner input please.

My I-Pace lease ends in May and I’m looking at cheapish but still reasonable sized EVs. Genuinely thinking basic spec ID.3 for ~£15k - £17k. Approved used from VW dealers still come with some warranty.

Aim is 250 summer and 200 winter combined road miles.

I have looked at an MG4 as well but they have an offset steering wheel and I hate that in a car.

Please don’t suggest anything Nissan or a Zoe :)

So, i've done 300 miles so far in my i5. Starting to get used to it, been very happy with the preconditioning in the cold weather, as has the daughter on the school runs :D ! Did my first decent trip in it on Monday, 120 mile round trip which went ok, getting back used to driving it with a light touch but still getting the grin factor from the odd traffic light grand prix. My main issue is that the smart meter I had installed won't connect to the smart network, i'm in the North so it's the Arqiva radio network, means i can't benefit from Octopus Intelligent Go for cheaper charging overnight, they're coming out again to look at it, but not sure they can actually do anything as it's been 6 months and 3 visits and it's never been able to connect.

Averaged 2.27mi/kwh in the cold, today at 9c managed 3.03, so getting better. Off to Edinburgh from Leeds in Feb, so will need public charging, currently signed up for Ionity and BP Pulse, any others worth joining. Which apps are best for charger availability, i've got ZappMap and the MyBMW app but not sure if there are others i should be looking at?

Cheers!

Cupra born 58kwh same powertrain but drives better . App lets you pre heat cabin. 210-220 summer. 160-170 winter. Depends on driving style of course. 120kW peak. Lifetime average over 23k is 3.6. Summer I can get 5.8-6 on my commute though.

its worth getting an electroverse card.... its backed by Octopus but you do not need to be an octopus customer (get a friend to refer you for some bonus credit on your account)

and dont forget Tesla. They offer the cheapest fast charging network AFAIK and its pretty easy to work out which will charge non Teslas.

I am far from an expert on public charging but Zapmap seems fine for me. i believe Google are (or have already) incorporating zapmap into google maps so will be autmatically included in cars using Android Auto at some point soon.

Decided to make the jump into full EV at the budget end replacing my Vauxhall Ampera PHEV and consider this more of a side grade.

2018 Hyundai Ioniq Premium SE. 97k with next to no battery degradation for 6-grand. I guess on here more of an appliance car but it isn't half efficient and has lots of toys.

Small battery @ 28kwh but can charge on Superchagers at 70Kw and had my first run out this morning in 8-degree weather and got 5.8mile/kwh or 10.7kwh/100km which don't think is bad.

My Ampera on it's 10kwh battery only gets 3.5mi/kwh though it's more pokey but the power-to-weight is the same considering it also has to lug around it's engine, drivetrain and fuel.

that is a lot of car for 6K! we looked at one to replace the mrs car but the range anxiety put her off despite her only driving more than 75 miles in one go once or twice a year (and she could have borrowed mine for that)

They are super efficient, was on 4.1mpkWh at -6c on a longish run in my 38kWh version. Excellent transport, great heating, and very comfy. Billy bargain at £6k, and 97k is nothing for a BEV IMO, still on original discs and pads I bet?

Same here - also a Cupra Born

Guildford - Cambridge round trip we had to have a quick splash and dash a couple of months ago but in summer have done it without a charge

Thank you both for the info. I will see if I can stretch to a 77kWh Born with the 5 seats.
