32 a on a 3pin? What are you talking about. He’s asked about a granny chargerIf you want something 32A capable, the Tesla charger is pretty good value at £200. They sell 16A and 32A commando pigtails for about £30 each.
The Tesla 'granny charger' can swap the regular domestic 3 pin connection out for an optional 32A socket.32 a on a 3pin? What are you talking about. He’s asked about a granny charger
By the time you have installed a 32a socket and associated wiring. you may aswell just get a chargerThe Tesla 'granny charger' can swap the regular domestic 3 pin connection out for an optional 32A socket.
Presumably that's why he prefaced it with "if you want something 32A capable" because some people might have access to a 32A socket (like I do, at various work sites) and might want one charger that can do both jobs with an easily swapped out connector.By the time you have installed a 32a socket and associated wiring. you may aswell just get a charger
It’s not really a 3pin granny charger either.
But that doesn’t plug into a 3pin and needed dedicated wiring…
The question was about buying a 10 A 3pin. Quite why a charging cable needing a commando socket installing was recommended was beyond me.
Whatever. Hardly need a Tesla charger for 32a anyway. Pointless benefit to the OQIt does plug into a 3pin socket and doesn't need a commando socket installing.
