Glad im on Intelligent drive
It’s a good tariff but for those of us with home batteries, the main tariff will always win out.Glad im on Intelligent drive
I charge both my cars, just dont tell anyoneIf they offered it on more than one car then I think intelligent drive would work better for us once this comes in but it's still limited to a single car per household afaik

Interesting...I charge both my cars, just dont tell anyone
some months done 900kWh and dont forget standing charge and day rate is lower.
Don't you have to do over 1,000 miles a month for Drive to be worth it? Which is twice the UK average
I think this is fairly clear:

They're effectively treating household and charging usage as two independent things now, it's easier to make sense of from that perspective I think.Interesting - must have missed that bit somehow! Yes, that does seem pretty clear... although in that case, what's the point of having a "fixed" off-peak window, if it could actually be treated as not off-peak depending on how your charge is scheduled?

Charging - you'll get 6 hours maximum at 7p, full price after that, regardless of when IOG schedules the charging.
Household - always 7p between 23.30 and 05.30 and potentially also 7p at times the smart charging happens to have been scheduled outside of that window. Full price otherwise.
Pair it with a charger and they can’t tell you are charging more than one car with it. Job jobbed. If they offered it on more than one car then I think intelligent drive would work better for us once this comes in but it's still limited to a single car per household afaik
Theoretically yes, you could still slow roll your charging and force longer schedules but I would expect there will be increased vigilance for this pattern of behaviour. Wouldn't be hard to spot potential abuse with data analysis.Yeah, makes more sense when you look at it like that, so if you're "smart" with when you plug in and charging limits, you could still play the system somewhat to get up to 6 hours of off-peak rates for the household usage during the day
I think you need to jump through a few hoops now with customer services to onboard a charger if you have a compatible car. Or lie about the car and say it's a non compatible model.Pair it with a charger and they can’t tell you are charging more than one car with it. Job jobbed.
For some reason I thought it only worked with compatible cars. In that case I may be onto a winner, we've already got the charger paired anyway as the Kona isn't compatible.Pair it with a charger and they can’t tell you are charging more than one car with it. Job jobbed.
You do but there is always a workaround as you have already noted.I think you need to jump through a few hoops now with customer services to onboard a charger if you have a compatible car. Or lie about the car and say it's a non compatible model.
