is that the one you are getting with the light interior as well? Was the exact car we would have had last time around had we not faced a similar issue, but the dealer in the group registered it as a demo and it couldn't be undone.

I think it’s a black interior - at this stage I don’t mind.


The exec team called me and asked if I was wedded to the colour

I blurted out immediately “absolutely not any colour please just get me a car”.

Yeah absolutely strange behaviour.


I’ve been advised that the reason it was sold is because the deposit locks in the finance, not the car.


They really made it sound like it would be keeping the car aside for me though.

That's great if you get a good deal and they can actually then give you a car, but also lousy if that was the last car and then there are no more. I think legally they should have to disclose that to you and you haven;t secured a physical item with your deposit.
 
Seriously, how hard is it for dealers, including main ones to give you a battery report....

It's like they don't want to sell you a car
' Yeah but it has low mileage so you will be fine' and an EV is not an ICE car either numpty pie.

On a plus note our new ID3 should be coming in the next few weeks to 8 months now it's all been approved through financials......Jesus wept.

Anyone had any experience with larger companies that supply and fit? Or am I better purchasing the charger myself and getting someone local to fit it?
 
Not sure how long it'll be there, but the Tesla Model 3 1+23 PCH deal for £300 a month are back on. So £7.7k for 2 years full use, might be useful to someone looking.

Tesla direct I assume? I'll need to check the mileage as we do almost 20k miles a year.

That's not a van, it's a lunchbox with breathing holes :D

All jokes aside, I know some people, my brother aside, love that larger almost 'bigger japanese Kei car-vibe'; although I'm slightly amused to see one listed as family car of the year...almost any hatchback, saloon or...you know...normal car...would have felt more on point lol

That range efficiency also seems way off for a 71Kwh battery, even at best its only targeting 3.6miles per KwH which is just...not good :(

We should be aiming for more average efficiency, not less! Lower priced, more efficient...THAT would be a true family car.

With a front end like that having to plough through the air it's hardly the most aerodynamic.
