About the vehicle? Or just in general?
Well Auto Express call it a car but it looks like a van to me, wasn’t sure if anyone here had an opinion
Could also be known as a shuttle bus...

Surely it's a MPV although they do a version without windows which would make it a van. Whatever it is it's yet another ugly new vehicle.
They do a Ford Fiesta without back windows too, does that make the normal hatch a van

I always thought that the companies who operate charge points own them but on Friday I got a email from Chargeplace Scotland who seem to be the biggest provider around here stating that there is a new operator taking over their charging network. Could it be that they have sold the lot off or do they lease the chargers and their lease is up so a new company is taking over? If it's the latter there couldn't have been much profit in it despite the high charges otherwise why would you give up a lucrative business?
CPS was setup by the Scottish government to allow local councils to get funding to install chargers, AFAIK there was a fixed term operating contract and the local councils took over for a while, not sure if SWARCO eVolt will be the CPO going forward.
CPS chargers are all owned by the local authorities. As Journey said, CPS was set up as an umbrella to create a unified network but that’s now ended.
Different LA’s have partnered with various networks to handle payment and charging sessions, maintenance etc. It’s a market which didn’t really exist when CPS was originally set up.
There are a few others now which operate in this way. Pod Point is probably the biggest example, almost all of their chargers are owned by the sites they are installed on rather than the charging brand.
The main ‘tell’ for whether the brand owns the charger or not is pricing. Where the brand is just handling the charging session and payment, pricing tend to be all over the place as it’s set by the owner not the network.
Almost all* ‘owner operated’ networks have consistent pricing at every charger.
*Tesla being the main exception who price per site.

Well since getting a few phone calls last week from Hyundai trying to sort the issue, and advising me a car has been allocated, I have heard nothing, despite chasing 3 times now.
Weds I received a call to let me know they're aiming for a collection this Weds the 8th, but have not been able to get any updates or commitment on this.
I've never worked so hard to buy something.
i4 may have to be the answer.

I understand it's frustrating but feels like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
If you try and look for an i4 it'll be at least a couple of weeks before you end up driving one away, surely the Ioniq will have come through by then
Did anyone watch the lunchtime BBC News? They had a feature on EV insurance being more expensive and featured Thatcham crash testing, and guess what, I think it was a Dacia Spring where they 'wrote' it off with a low speed frontal impact. Oh dear BBC.

I'm not hugely fussed about the time it takes, more about red flags of dealing with them.
My view is: if it's this difficult to "buy" the car, imagine what it would be like if I have an issue with it.
