do these still have the ICCU issues?Had the IONIQ 6N
Too early to say, but number of failures is still relatively low (at least on the 5Ns). As usual, you only see the unhappy people being vocal rather than the people that aren't having the issue.do these still have the ICCU issues?
Had my Ioniq 5 for 3 years and never had an ICCU or battery issue. I had two updates during servicing to prevent any possible issues, maybe it worked?do these still have the ICCU issues?

I've also known a few people to have theirs replaced with a turnaround of weeks. Worth noting that if you do have the issue, getting it recovered rather than driving it in is the better option as you will get a courtesy car from Hyundai (and everyone I know that's had the issue has had a 5N as the loan car). I've seen a few people drive it in, and it becomes up to the garage to offer the courtesy car at that point. They still use the same ICCU as the Ioniq 5 & KIA EV6 and all EGMP cars only software updates have been applied and the ICCU warranty extended to 15 years. Hyundai refuse to acknowledge the issue or even take responsibility for the issue other than extend the warranty. There have been 5 recalls for updates #272 is the latest and applies to all EGMP cars including Ioniq 6 N. The issue is when it goes the car is dead and needs to be recovered and then you join the wait list for a replacement. My friend waited 3 months to get his 6 month old Ioniq 5 N repaired.
TBH it’s a bit like the RROD on Xbox.
Still love mine though. lol

Would love to see the sources evidencing 25%Hyundai/Kia claim the failure rate is less than 1% independent investigations show it around 25% there are a few high level legal cases in the US and one in Germany that are in progress regarding it. You only need to look at the owners forums to see how bad it really is. Most uk dealers the ICCU is on back order from Korea with up to a 90 day lead time.
If it fails you loose all charging of the 12v battery driving it could result in sudden power loss and is really not recommended.
A national class-action lawsuit filed against Hyundai Kefico Inc. alleges that defective Integrated Charging Control Units (ICCUs) in certain Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis electric vehicles can cause sudden power loss and battery failure. [1, 2]
Key Details of the Lawsuit
- Filing: Brought by plaintiffs Hayes Young and Roy A. Williams in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. [1]
- Core Allegation: Hyundai failed to disclose that the ICCU—which manages power flow between the high-voltage and 12-volt accessory batteries—is prone to failure due to fuse and transistor stress. [1, 2, 3]
