BP is cheaper than all of those and IME works pretty flawlessly. Perhaps I've just been lucky.

Yes it does, but they offer access to BP pulse for £8 a month. To be honest, still trying to work out exactly what the card gets me…

It’s a whole new ecosystem I know little about
 
If you charge at home then it's probably not worth it.

Looks like most places on BP Pulse still charge even if you are signed up lol - you save about 10p/kWh by being a member so that's a lot of charging to make being a member worth the £8/month
 
Yep well it used to be 15p/kWh to subscribers with Geniepoint @35p and Instavolt and Osprey now at 40p BP was very good value to subscribers.

Ah ok, so you can use the card as normal on the BP chargers but if you want a subscription then you pay £8 a month, got it. Cheers
 
Saw an Ioniq 5 in the flesh whilst driving back from Twycross zoo yesterday. It looked lovely. It definitely stood out from everything around it, in a positive way.

I didn't even know they had been released / delivered yet.

What's the real world range on these? I seem to remember reading they weren't very good which surprised me considering how good the Kona is
 
Yeah my friend has a new facelift in the flame red and the cleaner nose and body coloured arch cladding makes it look like a car version of Ironman :p
 
Just watched it after that, gross pack 72.6kWh and that is the big version compared to 58kWh standard range - that has suprised me. Quite heavy for that capacity. The 77kWh is in the Kia EV6 with same 58kWh standard range pack…interesting guess the GT needs more capacity to manage the discharge demand and possibly a different chemistry mix in the cell.

It was the high speed test for the 180miles although looks like it was based on a 35% charge and multiplied by 3 so not super accurate.
 
A quick one, has anyone bought or considered a polestar 2/Tesla model 3? Which did you choose and why.

The polestar to me seems the one which is better value for money.

my takeaway was the trade-off of interior plastic quality versus the benefit of adjustable rear seats and cooled front seats (how practical are they if you have a drink spill too)

a new new heat pump - whats that about - better integration like the octovalve, or co2 like vw
building future polestar suv stateside too, whether they win subsidies, plus immunity from any chinese trade wars.
 
Looks like its very possible I'll be joining the Electric community, We've been offered much more than our Micra should be worth (Thank you chip shortage), as a result we've gotten a good offer on an 40kwh N-Connecta Leaf, Also test drove it today, I'm convince Electric is the future, That instantaneous power delivery is wonderful, the car itself, very comfortable nice plush seats, well equipped and very spacious all round.


So the Leaf uses the Type 2 Connector, someone mentioned before its an old style connector? Someone able to elaborate more on that? I had a check on the zap-map thing and clicking on the many charging stations around the UK, its all Type 2, so i'm a bit confused by that. (Also the mileage we do as a family, we very rarely do anything 100+ miles a year, maybe twice a year if I have to do an airport run up to Birmingham.)
