EV6 was way up my list, looked great, drove well and the interior was modern. In the end when it came down to the fact I could have an I-Pace with most of the trimmings for the same price, so I just went with the I-Pace because it had an undeniably more premium interior. Well that and the fact my wife basically decided the badge mattered.

Pug e2008 is the same. Such an odd steering setup. Also childlocks can only be enabled on the doors and windows simultaneously which is annoying.
 
The Polestar 3 specs have been leaked ahead of the launch in October.

  • Size : 4.9m long; 2.99m wheelbase; 1.97m wide
  • 484L boot expanding to 1411L with seats down
  • DM LR 111 kWh, 378mi WLTP, 489 hp, 840Nm, 5 secs 0-60 : €88,600
  • DM Performance 111 kWH, 347mi WLTP, 519hp, 910Nm, 4.5 0-60 : €95,200

Standard spec includes : Air suspension, pano roof, soft close doors, 14.5” infotainment screen, B&W audio, passive and active safety systems, in these trims;
  • LR : 21" wheels, Brembos
  • Performance: 22" + upgraded brakes, nappa vented leather + gold seatbelts

Those look good specs for the LR and the price is within my range - looking forward to placing my order

Makes total sense, I'd totally have an iPace over an EV6 for the same price.

Our scheme is managed by Hitachi (Novuna now) and I found much the same. The iPace HSE Black in particular felt like a good buy because it was something like £5 a month more than the S and similar in cost to the EV6 GT line and BMw ix3. I have the iPace arriving in the next couple of weeks.

With a slightly obscene marginal tax rate (kids) and including the saving on fuel I will be paying a net £250 p/m (no deposit) and that covers all costs bar charging.

Whilst the iPace has been around for a while we just kept coming back to it when we looked at all the other similarly priced alternatives through the scheme.

Funny thing is the I-Pace was the last EV I tried because I had dismissed it as old and outdated from an EV tech perspective. Then I sat in one and drove it and the truth is none of the other EVs we tested gave us the same pure driving enjoyment feel. All the worries about only charging at 100kW, or the 20% lower efficiency evaporated in an instant.

Thing I don't get is how do Tesla get a 730l boot out of a 4.9m car yet everyone else gets less than 500 :confused:

I really like to want one but those specs just give a 'reverse Tardis' vibe to me

It looks barely taller than a Polestar 2 and is more crossover than SUV. I would bet the Model Y will be about 150mm taller and the Polestar 3 will also have a lot more battery to fit in.
 
Not sure what has happened to my EV provider - my Pug has gone from £558 Gross Salary Exchanged (GSE) to £672.39 GSE...

The I-Pace EV400 S 90kWh is £1180.28 GSE!

Probably because everyone else measures to the parcel shelf and Tesla measure to the roof

When I checked leasing prices the higher spec SE and HSE were cheaper than the S. Something to do with residuals.

It’s always the same with Tesla - they stretch the truth.
Same with the 0-60 times on their performance models - they measure it with a 1 foot roll out, so it’s actually about 6-60mph. They justify it because that’s how the US measure dragster speeds :rolleyes:

Good point, though in their defence the Model Y doesn't have a parcel shelf. :)

I've seen vastly different boot space specs on the same car due to this practice. Another one is quoting 'wet' capacity, because of course people are always filling their boot full of water.
