GAP insurance on a used ev - is that a thing.

something else from stellantis to upstage r5/a290 sub £40K with the lsd/280 from alpha velocee - mokka gse
however no independent rear suspension bumpy corners & mini-roundabouts
Does look ok, but its a bit compromised with front drive and that much power I think.

I need your help OCUK.
My Zappi isn't talking to my car but the Granny charger is.
I've tried to reboot from the Zappi front panel but it won't do it
"While in the Main Menu, press and hold the Menu button for about 5 seconds until the screen goes blank and the unit powers down"

Google says to power down the Zappi by going to my fuse box and switching the fuse off but except for a 60A fuse with no switch I can't find an on/off.
Is it safe to take the fuse out and plug it back in?
The only other way is to turn all the electric off with the on/off top right.
Any advice appreciated.

Oh yeah, do the flashing lights on the Zappi hardware in the fuse box look OK?

Open the big grey box, your charger consumer unit will be in there and should have a beaker you can flip

Quick PSA for those on Octopus intelligent go: It was always a limitation that you could only add one compatible car or charger to the app for smart charging. Today I have seenn you can now add multiple compatible cars to OI so now you can smart charge with all your compatible cars. The most I have seen people add is 3 and they all smart charge.

I'm not sure on multiple compatible chargers but if you have two its worth a go.

Apologies, it is a hybrid...

It's not even that if you call have stop/start hybrid, it's a 48v monstrosity, not PHEV or BEV. You can guarantee if it was something electric related it would be on at least 400 websites proclaiming what a disaster it was due to it being electric even though it is related to the seat. Not even sure why it was not posed in its own thread given it has nothing to do with the drive train anyhow.

Are you sure? Didn't know that. Will have to run a experiment to see.

But I am guessingbif done too often they would eventually take issue
As a customer you shouldn't have to go outside to plug your car in at 11.30 at night - some people go to bed hours before that. It's called intelligent because I believe Octopus calculate when to give you the cheap rate - probably more to suit them than you.

Many thanks for the heads up!! Wife keeps charging hers at peak rates and this way can make sure she gets the cheap rate

Pretty sure the car needs to be charging to trigger the cheap rate though. If octopus schedule a slot but my car is already at 80% therefore won't allow anymore charge I don't then get off peak for that slot (unless it's already been scheduled in the off peak hours).

IOG won't schedule a slot if your car is already at 80%, as it reads the SoC and schedules accordingly

I'm after gap insurance on a brand new model Y, not used. Just not 100% sure if it's required on business contract hire. It's cheap for 3 years anyway so might just get it

Born VZ on the forged optional tornado wheels with 235 Bridgestone Potenza sports.

Amazed how much better the interior feels. Nothing significant but with the better, bigger, screen res, much faster infotainment and the seats it feels like a diff car. HUD has some nice additions too annd integrates fully with car play for the augmented reality stuff. Active dampers ACC good too so far. Been far too wet and fresh tyres so taking easy. Brake feel is miles better and seats really good for holding you in, bonus fully electric rather than manual in the old V2.

Drive mode button useful as avoids in menu. Need CUPRA mode for full power. New racestart feature ‘launch control’ might be fun with ESC off

Feels like many small changes make a much better overall car. Pleased. And the range should be over 300miles
