EV general discussion

Test drove an Ioniq 6 today
We were so close to having one a couple of years ago, but the dealer registered the one we wanted as a demo and we missed it.
Ultimate AWD version 321bhp version, was a silly deal something like £360 a month on a 1+35. Sadly they didn't have anymore with the grey interior. The looks are marmite, as a lot of cars are these days, especially if you are used to bland Audi/VW designs.

We ended up going with it

1+35 for £410 a month with metallic paint for 15k miles and 9p per mile excess.

Really happy with it, and the dealer was happy to wait until after we complete on the house to do the finance.

A much better overall package than the ID 7. Only thing I’ll miss is swivel headlights for corners, but has everything else inc a speed limiter!

Hopefully it’ll actually work for the 3 years too :P

Well as long as the ICCU doesn't fail, hopefully it'll have the new version in it.

Not terrible for 15k miles PA. Did you get the grey or black interior? Is the VED included as I am sure that is in the luxury bracket now.

Black interior, Ultimate AWD.

It’s a lease so yeah all included :-)

so the ID7 is gone gone gone, how did google take that

I don't think the 6 whale back boot looks bad , alway reminds me of the mercedes coupe , it's just it's practicality versus an estate ?

So what made you come around to getting an EV then from never, to looking likely to have two? It's always interesting to hear what has changed for people and why that has moved their choice from a definite no to a resounding yes.
Honestly, they have come on leaps and bounds and I know others who have had them for years now with zero issues, that and the price increase on petrol that will never go back down now.
Also seem to be safer and far more interior space.
But the right cars have only just started for me that tickle the fancy itch.

Also wet belt ICE engines are not great!
Welcome to the club. We really like our ID3. Is yours the new one with real buttons?
Hope so....but missus thinks not because it's called the Nero id3 and it just says id3 on the contract, will inform when it arrives.

Somebody please convince me that a 2022 I-pace is a bad idea…..

A hell of a lot of car for around £20k. One at a nearby JLR dealer with 24k miles. Comes with a 12 month warranty. Heart says yes, head says no.

I’m going to take a look at it today along with some other EV’s.

Quite sad but I need to get in and out of some cars to keep them shortlisted or remove them.

Damn herniated disc injury so having to “drop” into cars is no good for me.

How much is the warranty after those 12 months are up? Also if the car requires warranty work will they put you in another BEV, or pay your fuel bills if it needs to be fixed? As it's JLR they don't really have anything other than iPace to offer as a loaner.

Did you already look at the Kia EV6 or Cupra Tavascan? (not sure on your budget)
