Ever go to the pub on your own?

I have no problem walking into a pub on my own, I always meet some one i know. i think it depends on the pubs around you, once you start to meet a few people who regularly drink there its quite easy to pop in without arranging to meet anyone.

Yeah, or that.

I'll go on my own or I'll go with mates. If I go on my own I always meet people there that I know. There's more chance of something out of the ordinary happening when you break out of the confines of a group.

When I used to work at the one at the top of the hill, I'd sometimes pop up as I knew the regulars and could always go with the intention of just having one and ending staying for hours, resulting in spending far too much money (or adding to my tab) and being far too drunk!
Gone are the days!

Oh, that's a lie actually. There's a folk band that play down the Cowgate and I head down myself from time to time but I know people in there.

I'm literally about to venture into my local alone, only been in once before with the Mrs so should be interesting. Not the first time Ive been to a pub on my own, its not that unusual really, its just another way to meet people.

Once in a while. Can't beat sitting in a proper pub reading the paper or doing the crossword and not having music blasting at a stupid level and people having to shout over it just for a bit of peace and quiet.

Done it twice when away in a premier inn with work, had a meal and drink on me tod. Gotta eat and better than sitting around alone.

The bars that are tagged onto hotels tend to be full of loners like me though lol

+1 for this. It's a great way to observe people and their behaviour. When you go out drinking with your mates you're too wrapped up in your little group to see the things happening around you.

Done it when I've been on a course, and was on my own for the last night. Couple of beers and a meal, nothing crazy.

Done this many times. It's often to listen to music/write/read or do photography. These are activities that don't involve other people.

Aye, do it if I'm in town or somewhere new. Also if there's a new bar/beer that I want to check out I'll just head in rather than convince my pals to go to some obscure out of the way pub.

Nothing better than just sitting down with a refreshing pint whilst either watching the world go buy or reading a newspaper/ipad.
