Ever go to the pub on your own?

Been up to watch a match before, and am usually the first person on a night out to actually get there so end up having a pint on my own...wouldnt go out on a night out on my tod though...thats just weird :/

Done it before, not recently though. It's sometimes nice to go and socialise with random people who are not friends of friends, but those who only ever experience social activities in groups will never realise this :P

Back in my early 20's I used to regularly go to the pub on my own. It was my local though, so I could pretty much guarantee there'd be someone to chat to, even if it was just the bar staff sometimes ;)

Not to a pub but went to a festival on my own once, which is where I met a load of friends and ended up doing weekends down in London with and staying at their place on the outskirts of kent after a weekend of raving

Went up on a coach load of people i didn't know, don't think I can do it again though (going at it alone) but they were awsome times!!

Pubs round here are dead so it would be pointless unless you venture in to the nearest bigger town

No.

Actually if i found my self at a loose end in town or after work and i was standing next to one i might pop in for 1, i wouldn't go out specifically to go to the pub on my own.

when younger i did just to meet new interesting people :p

sometimes going out with the same group of people is like a rerun and becomes boring. i guess its down to the individual at end of day

I did in the summer, Sunday afternoon in the sun with a pint. It was the only time I finished a book. I may do it again when the weather gets better.

yeah sure. business trips... you either sit in your hotel room on your own at night or you go out. take a book or phone if you need a distraction

In my last job I had to take quite a lot of business trips on my own so used to go down to the hotel bar in the evening, usually with a paper though. It was a nicer environment than sitting in the room all night.

Did that a few times myself when on work trips. Boring as hell sitting in a hotel room all night.

Never done it but don't see the problem with it, Especially if you have a nice local quiet pub.

meh.

Working away = might have a beer or two or more on my own.

working at the office = if i have a bad day i might nip to the pub on the way home usually sitting in the covered garden overlooking the canal. Its not a local sort of pub so i'm not stared at.

if I went ever day maybe i might think im weird. its not and to be honest i couldn't care less

These days - it should be
Ever go to the Coffee Shop on your own?

I have been on my own a few times with work but more often its whislt waiting for my mates to turn up. I have also approached random people on there own and started talking to them, A good few I still talk too.

I work away from home sometimes.

Taking my kindle or a newspaper to the pub and having a quiet pint while I read is a hell of a lot better than raiding the mini bar.

Nothing better than going for a ride out when its cold, finding a country pub with a fire, ordering a good pint and bag of scampi and being woke up by a hot barmaid for snoring. Nice just to chil and have some quite time.
