Ever had a 'I WAS THERE' moment?

I used to get drunk with a fat bird who sang the blues in a club in Southend many many moons ago. She was a great laugh and drank me under the table.
I used to rave about this bird but everyone else took the **** out of me.
Alf was her name. ;)

Alison Moyet i assume :D

I guess my best attempt would be seeing Yellowcard at the Warped Tour in 2003 -- playing out of the back of a truck. Next year they got pretty big/where they are now :p

i was at the sunday part of oasis's nebworth weekend, supporting acts included ash, cornershop and others who i cant remember now.

also saw nizlopi live prior to that daft jcb song hitting the charts imho one of the best jamming bands for a long time! plus the basist beat boxes! lol awsome to watch.

Saw the Stereophonics supporting Skunk Anansie and touring to support the debut album and at various other tiny tiny venues a few times that same year. I'm not a fan of the Stereophonics though, but they did put on some cracking live shows back then.

Saw the Foo Fighters first ever gig in Manchester (and every time since then) and knew they were going to be big, as did everyone else who knew about the Nirvana link I suppose.

I've not really had any other "I was there" moments that turned out to be right really :P

The latest one I think might get to that sort of level was the Daft Punk's performance at GG which think has the ability to gain legendary status. I was also at their last festival performace in the UK 9 years ago too (which was also very epic!).

I was there in 1974 at the first Suicide practices in a loft in New York,City.
I was working on the organ sounds with much patience.
I was there when Captain Beefheart started up his first band.
I told him, "Don't do it that way. You'll never make a dime."
I was there.
I was the first guy playing Daft Punk to the rock kids.
I played it at CBGB's.
Everybody thought I was crazy.
We all know.
I was there.
I was there.
I've never been wrong.

I used to work in the record store.
I had everything before anyone.
I was there in the Paradise Garage DJ booth with Larry Levan.
I was there in Jamaica during the great sound clashes.
I woke up naked on the beach in Ibiza in 1988.
total tuuune by the way

Probably Nirvana's first UK show at the Riverside in Newcastle, in 1989 I think it was.

Went to see a band called Tad, but my mate had lent me a copy of bleach before we went and It seemed ok.
Live they were fantastic!
