Ever 'met' a sleeper ?

Was in my mates T5 heading towards the a19 along dual carridge ways. Came up behind a mk3 golf. nothing to look at horrible green colour laughable exhausts. he set off alittle and we kept up both braking hard for round abouts. Mate turns to me "ill have him on the a19 watch" both get onto the a19 and set it away. This golf made us look like we were going backwards.. it was still pulling away from us as some speed and we were close to hitting double speed limit. I just bust out laughing at the time. One quick golf :D

I wouldn't say a sleeper but a very powerful evo and it was something like an L reg, was really fast made a remapped R32 look slow.

The second one I saw was a Fiesta 02 model, was not an ST but it beat a 2.0T A3.

Funny to watch lol

Yes.

Nova with "1.4 Merit" on the back, later found out (after loosing to him) that it was a 2.0 16v conversion lurking under the bonnet.

When out in the westfield we came across a de-badged e46 M3, still completely owned him but he was quicker than we expected!

Shame that once we got home after that blat we found that the starter motor hadn't disengaged properly so had destroyed itself! especially as the engine revs to 8k (but the dead starter at got replaced by a nice Brise one:D)

Surely you could tell from the arse end that it was an M3 by the blistered arches and 4 exhausts?

Yea, even if it was'nt badged up as an M3, you could tell if it was one anyway.

Not much of a sleeper but this morning I had a new 330i gun it from a junction behind me. It sounded great and was bloody quick when it went past. Thought it was an M3 at first.

Nova's, without a doubt. I reckon most on the roads now, driven by youngish lads, are 2.0l red tops.

Reampped 206 HDi..........gave my mate a scare in his MK1 Golf GTi.

Saxo Furio........but it wasn't a furio at all. 16v conversion.

My brother had a standard 1990's Astra and I moved out for a year and then returned. It had new alloys and a very modest bodykit. It also had a 2l redtop turbo in it.

You don't know how crap it is to be sitting on a 140bhp bike and get overtaken by a vauxhall :(

A few friends had the same type engines in a rwd nova, and another astra.

Special branch also got me in an unmarked car as well, but it doesn't count as a sleeper :D

RWD nova?

Brilliant! Any pics? :D

Novas are great, there was one about not sure if it was road legal but had 2 x 2litre turbo engines in it! 400bhp in a Nova!

Yea, I we thought it was gonna be a 330Sport, but when we closed up & got past it was definitely a M3.
(Bit bad that I didn't recognize is as a M3 though really :(, especially as my friend still had his back then!)

I got blown away at the lights in the M3 once by a Renault Megane R225 (looked quite heavilly modified), not exactly a sleeper, but a little unexpected.

i thought a sleeper was a standard looking car... like a wee basic 206... with say a GTi dropped in it?

I like my wee Corsa SRi... totally standard, but most people dont expect it to be a 1.8 :D

A twin engine nova was made by Ste_Nova on DCuk.

Also made a 2l nova van and a nova pick up.

He used to have a 1.0l spin on steelies, this was a real sleepr
as it was a 2.0l jobbie.

I'm sure I saw it in Total Vuaxhall, some one over on Mig Web has a 2 x 2litre turbo corsa. Not sure if its fully finished yet.
