It's a wonder that the TFT manufacturers didn't think of a way to stop this happening

But isn't it infront of the pixels (TFTs)?james.miller said:it will be behind the image.

I'd be suprised if they'd even imagined it happeningCurlyWhirly said:It's a wonder that the TFT manufacturers didn't think of a way to stop this happening![]()
.True, I expect they didn't think that bugs had the intelligence to find their way inPhnom_Penh said:I'd be suprised if they'd even imagined it happening.
These little ****s find a way into anything and everything, so I dunno how much of an option that isCurlyWhirly said:I wonder whether future TFT models will feature a filter of some sort to cover up the cooling vents?
p.s. I don't even know how big the cooling vents are as I'm still using a CRT monitor!

They don't have to be big, these "thrips" are tiny.
Thrip = proper name for thunderbugNeon said:there not called thrips.
there called Thunderbugs.

i'm not sure why manufacturers decided to stop doing this.

I think he means the ones he took apart were sealed, unlike the buggy onesjames.miller said:there must have been. how else can you remove the plate otherwise? or how did they get it in there in the first place?
.
If it dies on the middle of the screen and i can't move it
