Hey all
Just set up my new AMD 64 system, running a 3200+ A64 cpu and ECS Nforce3 A939 mobo.
All the everest temp reads are sensible apart from the CPU itself, ive downloaded both speed fan and hardware sensor monitor who both say that the cpu is at 35 degrees C which with my Freezer 64 is about right. But everest reckons that its around 94 degrees......worrying!. but the system runs 100% stable. my fiancee was using it for her uni work for about 7 hours yesterday.
the other 2 fan programs have a random sensor reading for "temp 3" which is the same as everest is reading as the cpu.
ive included a desktop screen grab below that shows all 3 programs running. Im sure ive heard of Everest giving false readings on certain boards/BIOS's.
just to add, i have O/C'd the CPU to 2.2ghz and run stable and the temps on both speed fan and sensor monitor both gave the same 1-2 deg increase from the mild O/C......think im right in saying that everest is being a fool?
Any thoughts and help would be great.
