Everspace 2

I'm seriously tempted by this, especially with the HOTAS support.

Anyone playing it with a Thrustmaster T16000M FCS HOTAS setup? I like the idea of an arcadish looter shooter/space sim with that sort of set up, might have to get the thing out of the cupboard.

I thought you play elite only in vr with sticks?

Yeh got you mixed up with bigmike, and I thought it was weird why your sticks were in the cupboard when you play elite so often.

That was my previous HOTAS. My new one is on a completely different level though. Need to use it more. Might give it a go in this game tomorrow :D

I picked it up during sales a little over the year ago and it hasn't had enough use, I mainly wanted it for the throttle because I'd been told even if I replace the stick it's still an excellent bit of kit if you end up building up.

Not the first time you got confused tbf. You have been laughing at me the past couple of years for beta testing games. Yet here you are taking it to a whole other level and alpha testing with StarCitizen :p:cry:

The missus got me one for my birthday like 7-8 years ago when they had recently come out. Used it with Elite and the plan was to also with StarCitizen. But that ain't even out if alpha yet :cry:

Got the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck now :D

I find your optimism about Star Citizen ever coming out of Alpha inspiring, I'm still waiting for Squadron 42. :cry:

You still haven't answered my question you silly bugger, how did you get on with your Thrustmaster setup in Everspace 2 (assuming you have played with it), I love it when HOTAS works well but it's so bloody hit and miss between games and I'm far too lazy to configure crap to the bottom line.

My eyes are closing as i type man, bare with me :cry:

I dont have the Thrustmaster anymore. Sold it about a year ago. Have Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck which i have yet to try on Everspace 2. Will do tomorrow ;)

For those with a HOTAS and haven't got the game, I'd recommend trying the free Demo on Steam (on our Store page) to make sure everything works well for you & flying with a HOTAS/HOSAS is viable & you feel comfortable. We're definitely more arcadey than other space games, especially those which are more simulation. If you already have got the game, firstly thanks, and secondly other control methods are available if you can't get on with HOTAS/HOSAS. :D

So tried my HOTAS. As fun as it is I agree this is more of a k&m game. Much more precision.

@Kelt playing with a controller I think :p
 
I am level 9 now. Enjoying the game more than I expected tbh.

I think if thry make some tweaks and make a stronger story for the next game it will be a big hit.

They need a stronger start though. That was kind of poor and almost put me of continuing to play.
 
I played the game a while back when i had game pass sub and tried it with my Hotas setup after watching this video and LevelCap saying it transforms the game i have to agree with him.
Since i only played for about 3 hours im far from an expert but the Hotas was game changer for me similar to goign from controller to a wheel for racing sims.
