Everspace 2

I was playing Elite quite heavily backend of last year, it’s the one thing I kinda miss while playing Everspace is the flight controls, feels quite “arcade” (if that’s the right word) so if they could make the flight model more like ED I’d be happy haha

No no. This is not like ED at all, differentkind of game. That would take the fun away imo. That was one of the fun parts they got right I thought.

Agreed, this is an arcade shooter at heart, and that's where the fun is for the fan base/audience. Not space sim mechanics/management. Thankyouverymuchly :p

Glad to see so many of you diving in or carrying on where you left off. :D

We're definitely an arcade looter shooter, rather than a sim-esque game so you'll find both our games are more faster paced and arcadey than other games like Elite: Dangerous but it's great to have a choice and offer varying levels of accessibility to space game fans.

Hey all, anyone got a 100% save file for the base game? I finished the game and all the side quests etc while it was on game pass but now its been removed ive lost all the save files. I didnt notice until i bought it on steam to play through the dlc and i dont really want to do it all again as im sure it was 30-40hrs.

Do you have both Titans and Wrath of the Ancients installed?

I can probably sort you out a game save, but I’m out of the company (even though I work remotely) office tomorrow so won’t have access until Friday to our game saves.

Hey Gaz that would be great, no rush dude. Yeah i have both dlcs. Cheers
Just to confirm you’ve completed all the main story and side missions from the base game?

Can’t guarantee we’ll have a save with a full inventory though but I’ll check to see what we have that’s as near to completion of the base game as possible. :D

We dropped our Final Technical Update today which brings to a close the 8 year develop cycle on the game.

This bloke sounds familiar? :D

EVERSPACE 2: Final Technical Update

Today, EVERSPACE 2 players on PC, XBOX, and PlayStation will see our final planned technical update! In addition to Steam Deck Verification, this free final update brings optimizations, community-requested bug fixes, and minor features to all versions of EVERSPACE 2.

ROCKFISH Games and our porting partner Engine Software learned a lot from the development of EVERSPACE 2 Galactic Edition for Switch 2 which we’re bringing back to other platforms. New handheld-specific UI updates improve readability on Steam Deck, the final barrier that held us back from Steam Deck Verified status. Performance on Xbox Series S in particular has also been improved.

Haven’t played one of our games or DLCs yet? A special Steam sale is live with discounts on EVERSPACE 2 content to celebrate the update’s release. Tell your friends!

You can find the full patch notes on our website - Everspace 2: Final Technical Update Patch Notes

Today’s update caps off the eight year EVERSPACE 2 project. This has been quite the journey from our initial announcement in 2019, and we’ve been lucky to have such a great community of space game fans along for the ride.
Barring any hotfixes, this will likely be the final update for EVERSPACE 2 as the team continues work on our next EVERSPACE project. Please continue to follow us on social media and YouTube for sales announcements, studio news, design deep dives, and more. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been crafting, but it will take some time until our next game is ready to show.

This is a minor update to try to wrap up some loose ends in a tiny timeframe that was afforded to us whilst working on the Switch 2 version of the game. The update, although small in changes, does affect a fair amount of files so the patching may need a good sized download which can vary system to system.

We may have to do some little hotfixes, but we're focused on our next (untitled) project in the Everspace universe after 8 years of working on ES2. Once we're ready we'll talk about the future we will but there's plenty to do between now and then, so a little patience whilst we cook. :D

I also won't tell you how many hours I have in ES2 in it's various forms (Alpha, Beta, Early Access, 1.0 Release, Dev builds) but it's in the thousands.

Just picked this up on Steam ( complete bundle ) ... tried it on Game Pass ages ago but got distracted by other titles. Will be interesting to see what the DLC / final update brings to the table.
