Hide the Ford badges and you'd think it was a new Mitsu :p
 
I think it looks awesome, ford need the mondeo to get back is no1 rep mobile status :)

If you look at the rest of the range, they are mostly top notch cars:

Fiesta= great car
Focus= another great car
Current modeo= Indifferent
Kuga= meh...........
C-max + S-Max= Great cars
Transit= WIN

The Mondeo has always been designed/planned as a "global" car since the early 90's and the Mk1.
 
I think it looks great personally, just the right kind of styling to suit the Mondeo/Fusion. Modern, but understated, aggressive yet refined at the same time. Seems like a good balance. I never much liked the current Mondeo styling (although the Titanium X isn't so bad), so this is certainly a big improvement.

Would certainly like to get my hands on a model with some grunt.

Things are going global, the mk7 Fiesta was the real pioneer there though, this isn't going to be quite the same as US. I would be surprised to see a hybrid version over here in the UK. We don't have the market for it yet. Focus hybrid, on the other hand, much more feasible.
