Everything on my HDD disappeared but it still has the same amount of space left.

Hello,

Yesterday my external hard drive (WD 1TB) was fine, all of my files were still in it. When I switched my computer on today, I noticed that all of the files from my HDD have disappeared, however, it still has the same amount of space remaining.

Is there any way of getting all of my files back?

they are probably hidden system files, turn on the option to see them.. probably you have a virus...

thats is turn on the option so you can see them and put that back to non-system - non-hidden..

and possibly devirus your PC as well

Try a 'System Restore' to a earlier date.

I know it sounds silly, but check recycling bin. Files moved there are not deleted until you say so.
