Nope, that adds pointless cost and takes up space. No need for storage when your on the grid. You can get storage batteries though if you so wish.

Hmm if you had a hot water tank and a switchable heating circuit.. you could solar heat the water in the tank using any free electricty.. then either not need to heat the water or heat the radiators initially on a heating cycle before engaging a boiler to heat.

Considering solar - as we have two roofs that catch the sun.. and the new guy that moved in across the road drives a van with solar fitting advert on the back..

Aye, the images were uploaded on imageshack which went ages ago.

I'll lock the thread now but if anyone has any questions, shoot me an email. I'm still happily running an evolution of the full network rack albeit I've upgraded to UniFi kit with 4x wifi access points and have maxed out the 24 port switch :eek:
