Evri courier came to my address when I was on hospital on Tuesday. Then the new reattempt time on Wednesday was at a time when I was out. So I requested to go to my nearest Evri locker which is three quarters of a mile away. Since then, I had no updates of the parcel.

Is this bloody normal for Evri? Wish they can let us put a customised safeplace. Other couriers - DPD and DHL I can do this, behind my wheelie bin which you can't see.

Given Amazon have been running Black Friday all week and other retailers are now in "Xmas" mode its probably just taking time.
I had a similar Evri incident this time last year where everything was running 2-3 days behind due to sheer volumes and driver availability and it was about 5 days later it was eventually delivered to a locker, at this time of year, especially with Evri patience is called for I'm afraid.

safe space is behind the wheelie bin.....that's really not a safe place at all hoss, especially if the courier moves the wheelie bin to set the parcel behind it and doesn't move the bin back to obscure it from view.

Yesterday I had Fed Ex emailing me to expect my delivery before end of day, but the parcel number tracking showed the parcel hadn't made it to Hampshire, delivered this lunch time.

As an ex-postie, mid November to Xmas Eve became unbelievable in terms of the number of parcels we got on a duty from around ten years ago when online shopping really took off... Back when I started in 2010, a busy Xmas duty would have two full parcel sacks, now that is a normal day and Xmas four weeks is typically 4-8 parcel sacks.

you realise who Evri are?

2022

Hermes rebranded as Evri in March 2022 and we’ve seen continued success since, outperforming the market.
:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

My home is at the end of residential parking. Only myself, neighbour go past it. Home is not on the street

Speak to evri maybe
No offence, but have you ever tried to contact Evri yourself? As far as I can, it is simply impossible to speak to another human being at Evri, other than the courier.

My own experience with Evri this week has been a little bit of a let down. First they were going to deliver a parcel from Amazon on Thursday, but come Thursday dinnertime the parcel wasn't even out for delivery. Later that evening, Amazon gave me a £5.00 voucher as a goodwill gesture and told me to expect my parcel by Sunday. So you can imagine my surprise when the parcel actually turned up today - well I suppose that's before Sunday!

Ask them to throw it in the canal and say a little prayer it will have more chance of reaching you!

But seriously why are you trying to get in touch with Evri? Don’t you need a courier company?

So many people want free delivery that it results in a race to the bottom and retailers going with the cheapest option. That's Hermes/Evri. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.
They think that's what people want.

For smaller items I love seeing royal mail on the list, I ordered some trrainers the other month and the normal postie dropped them off, I was well impressed.

Same on Ebay I always look at the postage options first amd avoid if it's evbi etc
