Follow on from my motherboard thread as it turns out is disk related.

Tried to reinstall Windows 7 64 on a single disk set as AHCI.
The setup would not see the disk at all but all BIOS signs suggest the disk is fine.
The disk was part of a RAID 0 set. I deleted the array and the disk(s) say they are reset to non RAID disks.
It seems something is wrong though.

I Then tried the other disk that was in the old RAID and I found it could be seen but it will not create a partition table.

Any ideas?
I assume the RAID has written something to disk at some point causing this?

plug drive into another pc,click start/right click my computer/storage/disk management and format the drive,it should appear then

Ah right, it's that simple:p
I'll take them to work with me tomorrow then and pop them in a spare machine.
Only have a laptop as another machine!
