Example Of An Outlandish New Technology

Was shown around the Bioengineering department at Strathclyde recently and they had a few really interesting demonstrations set up shown some of the new technology they are working on. One was using brain signals to control the movements of a (virtual) wheelchair - you think of moving your hand left and the chair turns left, you think of it moving forward, the chair goes forward etc. Quite impressive/innovative stuff although it's probably more an application of current technology.

The use of quantum entanglement for teleportation.

Not outlandish any more :)

Science heads have successfully used quantum entanglement at a distance of 10 miles.

Super fascinating stuff and imagine a refined system put to actual use in products f the future. Gigapixel camera entangled to a large harddisk at another location syncing data /almost/ instantly!

That's information transfer though, physical transfer would be something else!
