Experiences of RepairTech?

Agree completely. Repair Tech are not considered a company that are focused on taking care of customers I.M.H.O. furthermore Repairtech do not necessarily seem to know how to go about rectifying faults at all. TBH shocked the likes of VS (among other's) are using them as their repair agent to be completely honest.

Sorry to revive an old thread, was wondering if anyone managed to squeeze anything out of RepairTech.

They currently have my Toshiba laptop that has a faulty touchpad and they have informed me that they have ordered the replacement part from their supplier in Germany but their supplier is currently waiting for stock.

To me, this isn't sounding too great and looking at their reviews, I'm not feeling too confident about getting this repaired any time soon...

Using the laptop for work, I'm desperate to get it back.

I had much the same experience. My Toshiba laptop expired after 6 months. I tried Toshiba's troubleshooting page and they said that a courier would pick up my laptop the following day. So far so good. Long story short, after 6 more months they still hadn't done the repair. They also charged me nearly £100 for another repair that should have been covered under warranty. They eventually refunded some of my money. I am still out of pocket and had to threaten to take them to court. What a bunch of shysters!!! Do not touch this company with a barge pole.

Hi,

Im going through a very similar set of circumstances with my Toshiba Radius 12. The trackpad has a known fault, toshiba never earthed the metal touchpad, causing it to stop working. I sent it to the repair center at the beginning of January. The courier damaged the laptop in transit. the corner is bent. They agreed to swap it out after a lot of back and forth. However, the part never came into stock. They have tried to straighten it out out by hand and are offering me a paltry amount in compensation. Also, it now appears the hing and LCD housing is cracked, they are saying it has always been like that, but haven't mentioned it in 9 months!

Ive sent them a message that im going to seek legal advice as they are just dragging their feet. The laptop was spotless when i sent it to them, and now its a mess. How did you get on with threatening them with court?
