Exposing Heightism

I'm 6'4 I don't notice such things

The better novelty is trying to work out what the deal with tall women is, some of them seem boarder line mental in almost wanting a guy the can tower over...

Yeah. I've been going out with a tall woman for about 10 years and she's bonkers. Sometimes not in a good way. Next time I'm going for a shortarse. They take up less room too.

The worst bit of heightism is plane seats and public transport. Seeing as my taxes subsidise the ******* as much as everyone elses. I'd love to go somewhere 5 hours+ flight (again) but I made a promise to myself never to fly economy that far ever, ever again. I nearly strangled someone last time for reclining their seat when I went to the toilet and refusing to de-recline it so I could sit (extremely uncomfortably) back down. Never. Never again.

It's not like I'm overwieght. My height isnt a lifestyle choice.

Those are outliers... and interestingly enough all self made.

IIRC there have been plenty of studies showing that taller guys tend to be more successful career wise... though the majority of people aren't setting up their own companies - the majority are reliant on impressing their superiors, demonstrating 'leadership' etc.. and progressing up an organisation - perhpas taller guys have the edge/confidence to do this. Perhaps short guys feel more driven/feel like they have something to prove when starting up something themselves.

I don't think height has any bearing on how successful you will be, or how masculine you are.

There are studies proving taller men earn more on average. That's your correlation. Given the way boys grow up any physical sub-par trait is teased and ridiculed giving different mentality to those at disadvantage physically.

As far as I am aware taller earn on average more simply because of more confidence and society perception that height equates to authority. No need to list successful short people, we're talking about reality and averages.

this really

another interesting one is the month you were born in and the likelihood of being a professional footballer - kids at the older end of their school year have a physical (height and muscular) advantage over kids in the same school year who are say 6months+ younger than them thus they're more likely to make it into the local/school football teams, more likely to be selected for that age group, given further coaching etc.. partly because they were born in a particular month. Some other kids at the youngest end who might have had a shot had they been born a few weeks later (and ended up in the year below) are at a huge disadvantage.

Move up north if you feel too small, the average height is lower there.

IIRC earnings/social class used to be (and prob still is to some extent) related to height. Lots more poor people up north....

Also Americans tend to be taller, despite plenty of them being descended from British people... wealthier country, bigger portions etc.. over a couple of centuries they're more developed height wise.

Women are very shallow, if it not height its clothes are not right or men are not considered to be "above" them financially.

Basically women believe that they should always go up. Going down in any way is considered a failure.

For women, they have to find a man, older than them, that earns more money than them, that is taller than them, that has more friends than them etc. Of course there are exceptions, but from shallow women perspective those kinds of women are considered to have gone down as pity or there is some alternative reason, as women joke when they see a women going down, "he must have a big penis"...

Considering how some of them women look, I'm glad to be 5 '8" and considered 'short'!
Agreed, and they don't exactly have winning personalities to fall back on, either. They come across as a complete shower of shallow, haughty trollops.

Are those girls for real?????

*Vomit*

Jesus, what nasty biatches they all are, and to say that in public is astonishing! Instant dating suicide to come out with such a disgusting personality revelation, silly trollops.

Yet I bet any of them would be more than happy to go out with Tom Cruise, go figure......

I'd say the sheer amount of Black people over there boosts that stat. I wonder if it wasn't for immigration, what would the averages be?

I see women who hate fat people when they're fat themselves and just wear potato sacks as clothing.

Haven't experienced height hate as I'm not short.

Last time I checked African Americans have lover average height than white Americans. (unless I misunderstood your comment).

Actually I think nutrition and social background explains the taller earns more statistic better than social development (confidence). I reckon weather families will have better nutrition allowing to reach maximum potential height but having a wealthier family leads to a far better chance of establishing higher income job/income/success.

Edit: Dowie beats me at this game again.

It's never really been an issue for me, only in the sense that I don't like partners that are significantly taller - at 5' 6" this rules out anyone above about 5' 10"!

Black americans are slightly shorter than white actually - probably the socioeconomic class thing coming into play....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height#Average_height_around_the_world

also recent Mexican immigrants only serve to lower the average

They have a greater number of Black people, they definitely have more taller Black people than we do over here. Not to mention we just get influx of influx of tiny immigrants from Eastern Europe and Asia. It's only going to get lower for us.
