Exposing Heightism

I'm 5'11, and quite happy to be. I wouldn't mind an extra inch or two on my height but I certainly wouldn't like to be over 6'0/6'1. Even if I was under 5'8 then I wouldn't take any of these peoples opinions seriously, as they are clearly deluded idiots. And mega laugh out loud at the morons that said "Men under 5 feet 9 arent really men"/"short guys don't even count as men. they're just very masculine women", etc - I read a lot of books of SOF/SF around the world - DEVGRU, CAG, SAS, SBS, 75th Ranger Rgt, etc - and the majority (probably ~70%) of the guys described in those books are under 5'9, and those blokes are masculine personified. Clueless people really annoy me.
 
I'm 6'4 I don't notice such things :cool:

The better novelty is trying to work out what the deal with tall women is, some of them seem boarder line mental in almost wanting a guy the can tower over...

The amusing thing is these women are all awful and it is quite sad how good they all think they are. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

6'3" just above average?

UK average is 5'9", US about 5'10". Sweden/Holland are nearer 6/6'1".
 
Short guys brought all this slander on themselves.. Should've just kept quiet about their inability to be found attractive by women.

Fair comment.

It's like calling women out for not wanting to date ugly or fat men. Not sure as a woman why you'd want to date someone shorter than yourself.

I'm referring to reaaally short men here though. If you're average height, you're not short.

Yup, I hate to be personal, but the most of them are hypocrites. I clicked a couple of their profiles, one girl tweeted "Why do short guys exist? Like Why" and in another tweet said "Everytime I go to the doctors they tell me I'm still 4'11 but when I measure myself at home I'm 5'0 sooooo my license says 5 :) lol". Someone else tweeted "short men are girls. the end." and then in another of her tweets said "i'm not a typical california girl because i'm ugly and large.". These kinds of people will be single/unhappy for life.
 
I'm 5ft 9 and never really come across anyone narrow minded enough to worry about height?
Yeah I have a few friends who are tiny and have the usual nicknames, but being offensive about it is just retarded!

3 Studies show the averages to be 5'9", 5'9.5" and 5'10" over various ages. With those 16-24 being 5'9.5".

You might be right with the dutch, but they're the tallest in the world and you're 'only just average' compared to them.

I've only ever dated girls (slightly) taller than me.

Being 5ft 7 (definately short for people my age) has never been a problem for me
 
My older brother is 6ft my younger brother is 6ft 6 and I'm 5ft 10 :( Never heard of this hightism before.

If people cling to their height to make them "manly" it's probably because otherwise they are the epitome of a wuss. :p
 
These comments in the twitter thing are hilarious....
They would prefer morbidly obese men to short men apparently.
