Was wondering if you guys could help me.

It only happens when my WD Elements drive is plugged in, when booting the computer it takes a long time to pass the post screen up to 1.5 mins sometimes - I'm assuming that is because it is scanning the Elements for some reason.

I have set the boot options in bios to cd, and hard drive with the others disabled i.e. no mention of removable disk.

Is there anyway to stop this without having to disconnect them everytime I turn on the computer? Thanks.

It might be worth a look to see if your USB HDD is a Primary partition & if changing it to a Logical partition makes any difference ..... however you're going to need some partition manager software to do that.

Cool thanks. Yes it is 'primary partition', will look into it.
