External Drive - Need Advice

Hi guys,

I'm in need of another external drive that's relatively fast, preferably USB 3.0 too, but I have no idea what drive to go for. It will mainly be used to store photo's and videos but may be used to store a few Steam games as well.

Any suggestions on what drive to get will be greatly appreciated.

3TB Seagate Expansion USB 3.0 does for around £80, Toshiba Stor.E Canvio too.

It would probably be cheaper buying a hard drive and a USB 3.0 Enclosure separately.

not really. in fact 3TB external are cheaper than 3TB internal, let alone with enclosure on top.

yeah, doesn't make too much sense, but it's true.

3TB external were as low as £77 few weeks ago (~£80 now), whereas cheapest 3TB internal I've seen recently was around £85.

3.0 enclosures start at around £12, so no way it'll be cheaper.
