I think its quite a hard challenge, add to the fact you are playing a single game rather than mixing it up which might well make it a good bit easier makes it harder still. I cant remember the last time i played a game for 3 hours on the trot let alone got into something for 24 hours.

^^^precisely!

I don't think I've played a game for more than 2 hours tops recently....just lose interest. This will be a lot tougher!

It's not about entertainment, it's about effort. I've raised thousands over the years myself but it should always be something that makes people think it's going to be a challenge or "**** me, I wouldn't want to do that!" For example, 3 guys from work are cycling across Europe and some other countries, they received money. Earn it! nothing worse than people just asking for a handout.

Edit -removed personal insults, mostly. Let me expand in sinpler terms for a simpler person.

i guarantee you, whatever you did to raise this pretend money, errr i mean 'thousands', there are people who could do it better, faster than you. Take your pretend mates cycling across europe. Theyll raise thousands and the average person in the street will say wow thats tough. The tour de france cyclist would laugh at how easy that was. Now take this challenge. The average person n the street will say wow thats tough, and he'll raise a 100 squid for sick kids. I wouldnt say youre the tour de france cyclist of gaming, more like the sad fat southpark stereotype, but youre not an average person so your opinion of whats difficult is warped by your spoddiness. I know you think im suggesting therefore your opinion means **** as a consequence, and youd be right.

No I read it all, I just think that this isn't challenging enough to be worthy of my cash. OOOO I'm going to finish a computer game and get 100% achievements in 24 hours. It doesn't really bother me what % of my post you read, what you're attempting is something my 15 year old brother could do :D

See ths is whats wrong with britain, rubbish parenting.

Big woop! Most old time hardcore gamers will have pulled 24 hour stints on games like Ultima Online, Eve Online, CS, etc. I think my record was around 30 hours (eating and drinking at my desk) then about an hour getting proper food and back at it for another 10 ish hours.

Yeah youre right, but if you were capable of thinking about it, this makes your point moot. If its hardcore to pull long gaming sessions... Can you finish that thought - clue - it has something to do with charity. People who arent the type of gamer that gives gaming a bad name might see a 24 hour session and think ooooh worthy of a couple of quid for the kids, what a nice guy.The fact you dont says more about you than him.

I've even spoken about this to average non gamers and they've said the same thing as I.

Your personal insults while you hide behind your monitor show the type of person you really are, further more, I don't care what you think of me or whether you believe me because it's of no importance.

I've made my point in this thread, and I've wished the OP the best in completing their 'challenge' and I see no further point in derailing his thread.

As for rubbish parenting, my brother has just passed all his GCSE's and has been accepted the army. He's also had a job on a local farm for the last 8 months and he play's games because living in the middle of the country 10 miles from his friends leaves time to game. Not bad for a lad that spent 2 years having to do special exercises to help part if his brain develop as well as having something similar to adhd. I am sure he'll contribute more to the world than you will :)

edit: Oh, and if my opinion meant so little to you, why have you put so much effort in to the replies :D

Guys, can you stop posting off topic rubbish in a thread that's supposed to be for charity? Any more and you're off on holiday.

24 hours? you guys have never got the Football Manager bug obviously as the challenge there is to play an hour and leave it alone, lost many a day to that game, if only I had thought of doing it for charity.

Good luck to you.
