Extreme Super (Full) Moon

Heh @ People pointing at Earthquakes and things being the result of this (and other space phenomenon!)/

The last super full moon in 1983 didn't have any Earthly issues nor did a semi super full moon in 2008!

Plus it's only going to be 14% bigger so in the sky it won't visibly look that much different. Best time to see it and photograph it is when it's still rising in the horizon so you can use ground based props (buildings/trees etc) as a size reference in the foreground which makes the Moon look even bigger.
 
This reminds me of the photos I got during the last Lunar Eclipse in March 2007.

The 'moon illusion' is also very impressive.

I was kind of getting worried that the moon was going to spiral in and crash into us, but my mind is more at rest after reading this thread.
 
Lots of light seeping in through the bedroom curtains when trying to sleep last night, must have been the supermoon!:eek:
