Extrememly annoyed with XFX

Well, I reckon you're cards combined would fetch around the £200 mark, so you could get your own 8800gts 320 for that.

If it's a 640mb card, I'd probably take that, as it's worth a bit more than £200. Both exchange options save you the hassle of having to sell your other cards though I guess.

Do I want another XFX is what I'd be asking myself?

With my RMA through OCUK for my 7900GTX, they sent it back to XFXand I was given a refund of £235 and I bought a 8800GTS 640MB.

Just found out it's the 320.

How much could I resonably expect on here or on a well known auction site for a 1 year old 7900 GTX 512 with Zalman cooler and a brand new unopened 7950 GT 512?

They have to supply a card of equal performance OR value, now the card he received is neither of these.

HI there

The value subject is incorrect.

It is down to the retailor or manufacturer to replace the card for one that is equal in performance without doubt or a superior product.

Therefor a 512MB 7900 GTX should be replaced with a 320MB 8800 GTS which I believe is quicker in all benchmarks, if its not then it would have to be the 640MB version.

If it was equal value then people would simply be trying it on all the time. Basically oh look my 7900GTX just gone faulty and it cost me £300 new and as such the equal value card is now 8800 GTX so give me one of those. As you can see it does not work based on value because lots of people would try it on and as such if they suceeded they would basically get the latest cards at no charge.

So faulty cards are replaced for equal or superior product.

Ah ok, but they still didn't offer the correct card to the gentleman.

From what I understand, they want the RMA'ed card AND his working card for a 320Mb GTS. Now this is VERY wrong!

Remind me not to by XFX

Well, I checked the well known auction site earlier, and 7900GTX's had sold for anywhere between £95 and £130ish, and the 7950GT about £100. I'd say you should see £200 easily, but of course you never know!
