Eye Floaters

After reading through all the posts here it seems more and more common - I've had them in my right eye for a few years now and they're dammed annoying. Seen mainly in bright light but they're there all the time.

I've seen opticians and private healthcare specialist doctors, optometrist's (spelling?) I think they're called?

Eventually it's something you learn to live with :(

I rarely see the one in my left eye, but the one in my right eye is more noticeable. I have heard that they can disappear on their own...after many months or they can be permament. Time will tell. I think it is basically the hardening of the gel in the eye, the gel sort of clumps together. I just noticed it in my right eye at the beginning of May.

I have quite a lot and for a while they were incredibly annoying. But, you can't fix them, and the best thing to do is ignore them... generally when you dont think about them you dont notice them.

Ahh I've had many a battle with these fellows over the years. I've mastered some of them with tricky eye movements, but some are just plain stubborn and refuse to be overpowered.

I actually had one a few weeks ago that took me by surprise, making me turn thinking something was in my room.

I normally don't even think about it... at least not until someone mentions it.

I've had them, thought they where normal.

When you close your eyes, and you see like blobs and stuff of different colours, changing colours etc.., what are they? I get that sometimes, and in the dark, 100% black, then changed to bright green lol.

I suffer from them, dislike looking at the sky or bright plain coloured objects. Have two big floaters in each eye, big dark lines that float quickly across my vision when I turn my head.

Had my eyes checked thoroughly of course, including my retinas, as there's always a risk that it's a sign of retinal detachment occurring.

Also suffer from mild visual snow :(

yeah I have them, they're very annoying in bright sunlight. They are worse if your short sighted(like i am :() had them all my life but about 2 years ago when my vision wasnt 20/20 anymore they got much worse, i hate them:(

Apparently it can be fixed, if it's bad enough. Involves completely washing out the layer between the eyeball and the 'skin' (I forget its name). Ask your doc.

And yes, I have them as well. More so in my right eye - can be darn annoying, especially in the summertime. Wish I didn't have them.

Also have the tiny silver darts that are best seen looking at a bright sky.

I can change their shape, look fast left, then look right fast and see the long ones shoot across and bend shape, I had one doing circles round itself once. quite entertaining

For those that DON'T have them, this is what we have to put up with:

And now imagine them moving around as you look around. Highly annoying!
