Eyefinity Screenshot Thread.

Is this only for the 5XXX cards? No support for the 4XXXs?

You can use a triplehead2go adapter, with any card, although it has problems with some monitors as you have to force the refresh rate.

I think I would rather drop the money on that curved seamless monitor ;x Single monitor, no drivers, no bezels.

Not cheap but if you're going to do something.... :D

Bezels are only bearable if you go with 3 monitors, otherwise you have 2 bezels right where your crosshair is :)

Well theres problems, you can see were the screens have been joined on the glass, id rather have bezels :)
The resolutions are horrible and they cost like £2k+, last time i checked..

The desk in my picture was like £70 from Ikea a while back, bargain imo :)

Bezels are only bearable if you go a odd number of monitors, otherwise you have 2 bezels right where your crosshair is :)

fixed ;)

A 5870 should be able to max it, with no AA of course.
Basically i just use a 5870, and im gonna pick up another cheap next year, both gonna e watercooled at some point for decent overclocks.
You've just gotta keep in mind, AA has a massive impact at this res.

Its funny how people whine about the bezels, thats irrelevent, like we've all said through out this thread, your still focus on the centre screen, its not as if your gonna be focusing on half of one and half of another.

Also in terms of the cost it doesn't cost that much actually, a monitor at 2560x****+ costs a lot more. If your looking st 3x22".

And obviously i cant comment on nausia, as i dont get it myself.

I've done a bit of reading about this on tomshardware site, and someone said they have managed to get 3 monitors working using an active £10 Displayport>DVI adaptor and it works on resolutions of upto 1920x1200.

This is the one ocuk is selling http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-223-SP

Source is here

Can anyone on here confirm that these cheap adaptors work properly in games? Apparently, they are active because they pull the power from the card instead of a usb port.

Some of the reviews from the shop sites....

Pros: Works for Eyefinity set ups - at least it did with mine.
Cons: None (yet).
Other Thoughts: Running eyefinity with 3 1920x1080 monitors at 5760x1080 on an ati 5870.

Works flawlessly (so far).

I've read that this sort of passively-powered, active adaptor should work with Eyefinity for monitors with a resolution of 1920x1080 (and with 1920x1200 with reduced blanking). But for higher resolutions you may need to use one of the active-powered (usb) adaptors.

Pros: -Works fine for eyefinity tested at 5040x1050, no flickering at all for me.
-Fairly small
-Is an "Active" adapter that pulls its power from the displayport plug.
Cons: -none
Other Thoughts: had to take a gamble on this.. it works flawlessly for me with every monitor i have tested it on (2 different acers and a benq) without cutting out. 5770's crossfired driving it. I was worried... but every thing works just fine.

Can't see any mention of a £10 active adapter there. Even if there was i doubt that would work due to them being quite a high cost in general.

Or did you mean the DP > VGA passive adapter?
Yes this works, a lot of people have also confirmed this to be true also.

I should have made it clearer but when i said £10, i actually meant our equivalent which costs about £10.

Yes i did mean the DP > VGA passive adapter. With people saying it has a built in microchip and is powered by the port, the word passive didn't fit in.

Also since i posted this, i've found confirmation from ATI themselves that some passive adapters do indeed work. so much for spending £80 eh? :p

I'm pretty sure all the DP > VGA passive adapters will work, as it as internal connections within this already for the digital > anologue conversion.
But i'm a little sceptical of that list really.

I know a lot of people who have tried very similiar products and have not worked. I know they are AMD/Eyefinity validated, but does this mean they are designed for the third screen? As any adapter will work for your first and second screen.
