Yeah i think it was the checkpoints in the first fear that gave a second or so pause but didn't notice it in the demo and i am on a quite old machine with a 320.
 
Wow! Much better on PC. Just ran it on my Mac Lappy and it ran awesome! Was very surprised how good it looked and how well it ran on the specs.
 
MEH!! Every time a new script ran in the game EG soldiers turned up or bricks fell on the floor, there was a massive stutter. Very annoying.

I thought that the bit with the babies in the school was very atmospheric, other than that it's not too scary.
 
Looks Great, Ran Fine on the Specs Below. No stuttering for me.


Edit - 280GTX actually isnt here yet - It was on an 8800GTX.

Have you not noticed the game auto saving at all? My guess is your hardrive is a bit faster than ours so it saves to disk faster.


Edit: Just played through again, it's perfectly alright tbh, just a half/second pause after some of the action sequences.
 
im getting pausing too, could it be the game automatically saving the game as i remember crysis doing this when it was released
 
Oh.. Nice! Didn't realise there was a demo for this! Theres never enough demos for games lately, probably because most of them have been rubbish and they don't want to spoil their sales with a demo..

I enjoyed the first one so hopefully this will improve on that. :)

Shame I'm not really testing my 20meg line, only downloading at 30k, should have it in 18 hrs. :(

I just realised that my hdd was not set to "advanced performance" under "write caching" in the Device Manger. So I've enabled that to try and boost my performance a bit... will test again later. :)

i thought it was one of the solders jumped of and start shoting but no one was there lol :) i didn't find the demo scary :) intresting ye.. will be buying it when it's out
