hey guys, just started folding@home :) apparantly got another day and 10hours to go before my first wu is up...

just lookin through the ocuk team member list and as i've read in a few other threads, theres a lot of names i dont recognise or dont know who they are??

so....was just thinkin would it be worth while havin a sticky or even a post detailing who's who in the team?? like the XBL gamertag thread in the console gamin forum. could make people a bit more competitive knowing exactly who their about to stomp on :D

sort of OcUK name, F@H name e.g:

cokecan72 - cokecan72

this is all assuming there isnt allready one around here somewhere that i've missed??
 
I think a lot of them have move on to pastures new, and just a few with different names.
I'm diogenese all over the place :D
 
Well we're not allowed any more stickies than the three we've got. Not everyone on the team is on the forums too.

I'm BillytheImpaler(OcUK), The_Ohio_Psycho, and CSO2_Clever_Nickname

And perhaps a few others... ;)

Could always compile a list of F@H names and list of Seti names and perhaps add it on to the two existing stickies?

lol i know, i've had a nose around but never really bothered with f@h till now. i recognise a few names from other parts of the forum :)
 
I can always add a section for this on the bottom of the quick guide if you like.
It would only list those with different names on here to their team name.

It would probably be a fairly short list, about 15 people or so i should think.

Worth doing?
 
I dont think it's worth doing. Regulars pretty much know who everybody is and irregulars (is that the proper term? ;)) aren't around to post anyway.

I think it's just a bit much.
 
ya know, even though i suggested it im startin to think billytheimpaler is right. i guess the more i use this forum now the more i'll get to know the regulars and who they are :)
 
I was forced to use underscores in my universal internet name, as stanford don't accept fullstops :(

A.N.Other ... = ... wait for it ... A_N_Other. Although you could probably have worked that out :rolleyes:

ok quick question thats completly off topic...

do i need the net on while crunchin?? at the min ive done about 120/1000 frames from the current WU (am i gettin all this right?? lol) and it reckons ive got about a day to go before its done. so would i be ok to turn the net off and just leave my comp on munchin away at that??
