F1 2010 Trailer

Well, not much to see but if they pull off all that they promised with proper tyre, aero and pit simulation they could have a very successful game on their hands.

Nothing special considering that there not even gonna bother updating to the 2010 season, so every F1 game they will release could be a season behind , looking at the 2sec clip where it shown the brawn car going into the left/right corner after split 1 at Monza in wet weather looks like it's going to be leaning towards a very arcadey game

Did you read the text at the bottom of the clips? No you didn't.

It says: "Cars and other elements are from the 2009 season, the final game will use 2010 information".

The clips may be very old data, and in fact it likely will, possibly from the Wii version maybe. Hard to tell, I wouldn't read into the imagery just yet.

In the video at the bottom it says cars and elements are from 2009 seasons, but the final game will use 2010 info.

Needs moar in-game footage and less interviews. Definitely looks like the Ego engine (behind DiRT 2) re-skinned for F1.
they're talking a lot about recreating a handling engine + weather system. they're atleast pretending to try. I'm very interested in how this'll turn out :D

Quote from unknown Codemaster Dude "We're Tailoring the car handling to a very different market to that of Dirt 2 & Grid."

I like the sound of that. I appreciate people actually like those games but personally i can't bare the way those games play, and i really need a new F1 game!

It's looking promising so far, they have plenty of time to polish the game up (I believe September is still the release date).

I'm not expecting anything like a sim here, but if it isn't bat cack insane and quite fun I'll be interested.

I'll be keeping a close eye on this one, I've not had a driving game for years now and a decent F1 game would be the perfect way to come back to the genre again.

Here's hoping it ends the current run of dissapointing PC games that we've had of late.

But will it be in HD?

Seriously, does anyone know what they are doing regarding things like refuelling? That used to be a big part of F1 until this season... and since its not in F1 this season, does that mean no refueling at all? Or will you have the option to play the game with/without it?

And on that note, if there is refuelling, what would decide how much to put in? Obviously the real teams have a set plan, but things like the safety car, or the other teams pitting earlier/later than you planned means that you might radio the pit crew and say you're going to need more/less fuel next time you come in... but how would you do that in the game? While pounding round a track you don't want to be reaching for the keyboard to input however much fuel you want.

This has huge potential... but then again, so did Spore, and we know what happened to that.

Looking forward to seeing what they come up with... Shame the release date is in September 2010 :( Seems ages away :p
