F1 2010 Trailer

Looks fun, I'll probably get this I think. I'd be nice if they have some modes to make it feel a bit more realistic, instead of slidetastic like grid but even if it doesn't it'll probably still be fun.
 
funny bit i find is, that its not going to be realistic. because if they made it realistic the game would be pants. you'd not be able to overtake anybody thanks to current regulations.

but otherwise could be decent depending how it comes out. graphics didnt look amazing from the clips though.

overtaking is only so bad for reasons that CM would never be able to put into the game ;) everything ulse can be pretty realistic though. I'm pretty horrible on my tyres in these games, so I'll be pitting every 10 laps :)
 
I'm just sitting here laughing at all the idiots that didn't bother to read the text in the bottom of the videos :)

Great news that F1 is making a return to PC, here's hoping we get full DX11 in it too.

Dirt 2 looked gorgeous, even if the handling was a little off... it was still a cracking game.

lol, im sure they can factor in the dirty air/wake of a car. LFS does, you lose downforce when your behind another F1 car in that. i think lfs got it pretty spot on in terms of losing downforce but also being able toovertake so it made it challenging yet not impossibly difficult to catch them.

im great with my tires :P aslong as ive got telemetry to tell me what they look like :P they best have that in the game. or a co-op mode where your mate sits on the otherside of the internet with the Pit screens infront of him instructing you like your race engineer would:

Tom - "Lee, you should take it easier on your tyres, they are starting to grain"
Lee - "**** off, im catching him!!!!"
Lee Retires due to Blown Rear Tyre
Lee - "ffs tom!"

I agree 100%. I won't believe a word of what they say. I'll wait until the reviews. I'm not getting sucked into all the marketing hype again.

Dirt 2 was still a great game lucky my copy was free :D thanks to ati, codemasters recently spoke about Dirt 3 saying they would take it in yet again a new direction, I think they realised that it was over americanised, so hopefully it will go back to more rally

As for F1 2010 it looks promising visual wise and hopefully gameplay as long as it lives up to what they say, performance should be good to using the ego engine, I'll wait for reviews and more gamepla vids though

This game now officially = FAIL for me.

What a disappointment.

Sums up what they thought of the multiplayer element.
 
This game could be good. I hope it is. Not sure about the Anthony Davidson element mind. :D

I do wish, like others, that Geoff Crammond would give us GP5. I know he'd not have a licence for recent cars but he could just release GP5 with fake cars and release all the tools/editors/skinners needed and let the fan base make the new skins. :)
 
Codemasters + OFPDR + hype = PoS

Codemasters + Reviewers in their pocket = biased rubbish

I suspect the logic will follow this game as well.
