F1 2012 Test dates

Test dates for the 2012 season. New thread will be created for each test week.

Pre-season tests

1. February - 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th - Jerez, Spain
2. February - 21st, 22nd, 23rd & 24th - Barcelona, Spain
3. March - 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th - Barcelona, Spain

In-season tests

4. May - 1st, 2nd & 3rd - Mugello, Italy

Anyone else think that F1 testing should be held at tracks that aren't used for races, possibly even in countries that don't have a race?

Absolutely.

If it has a race, then no testing there. I'd support silverstone as a testing circuit.

Would be funny watching the teams trying to test in freezing drizzle and hail.

Booked my flights for the Valencia Vs stoke city game on the thursday staying in barca over the weekend so i will go to the test day.

£45 return flight!

I went to Valencia last year it was only 10 euros to get and well worth it got to see the cars. Was a worth day out.

Will be off to Barcelona this year bit more expensive this year as its to far from dads villa so will have to get a hotel but a good excuse to look round the city as well

Im going as well, never been to testing is just GA or can you sit in the stands?

If its anything like the tests that used to be held at Silverstone, you will be restricted to one area of the track, but have free access to any grandstand that they have the manpower to marshal.

For me it will be my 1/2 of F1 fix - thx bbc..
Oh well, at least it is getting closer now...
