F1 2015

Weird - been playing most of today in career mode and not experienced much in the way of tearing or slowdown on PS4

Had 3 full race weekends and no issues across any of the tracks so far.

Very weird mine slows and tears all over the place...?

Monaco turns into a slide show at parts and tears pretty much all the time.

I must admit I played Monaco three times last night to snatch the 3 quick race wins at Monaco trophy. It did tear in places on first lap but it did settle down once field spread out... Got the trophy and moved on to Silverstone ...

Moogleys is right, it does tear, some notice it well more then others..

I remember back on ps1 wipeout 2097, everyone noticed the pop in , but it only bothered a few.. Like the weird shimmering effect ps1 games had.. Some. Noticed it. Others didn't...

For me anyway the slowdown is the worst part. Mine is literally stuttering at times any kind of tyre smoke and it's almost a slideshow. I have just been racing Japan and going through the crowd areas causes it to almost feel like it's frame skipping and it stutters badly.... .?

You haven't got braking assist on have you?

Nope only abs and traction control. It's frame dropping massively on the Australian GP it's always in the same part as well.

Again, I'm not seeing this and I've played Aus a few times now

Which part is it repeatable on and what are the weather conditions?

It's the corner before the finish line. Conditions are sunny no rain..... .?

No idea why mine is slowing lots and tearing badly but yours is not..... Weird....

Watching back the replay it's nice and smooth throughout at 30fps...

I played a 50% season race at Melbourne, raining it did show tearing in places, but other then this can't say j noticed it like you have. I'm out at a water park with my daughter so can't look right now, but I'll take a look tonight when I fire my ps4 up.

The replays are frame locked to 30 fps, which I think should be an option for the game itself IMO.

Just been next door and tried on his PS4 and Sony TV and it is the same as mine. Huge slowdown in places and lots of tearing. Even my neighbour thought it was horrid and he was not bothered by it in project cars.....

To be fair, the Eurogamer df article does state screen tearing is pretty bad. It is a shame. Not many f1 games out there. Ironic codemasters are now purely a racing game developer and their first title is, well really not up to scratch on new gen hardware....

Oh well, 2016 maybe???

They should just add a 30fps option for the consoles.. yes its not ideal for a racing game but its better than having horrid screen tearing and slowdowns:)

The AI is also pretty poor in this one. Just been rammed off the track for following the racing line....I got awarded a penalty for this.. .??

What I don't get, and this is what irks me is that they must read this feedback from eurogamer, customers etc, and very rarely do they act upon it.

Its a disgrace in some ways. Here, this is our game, play it how we say and if you don't like it, then thanks for the £40 now erm go away..

But all it needs is one or even two simple changes, triple buffering v sync option or 30fps lock - how hard is this?

Devs, like I say, I heard they are arrogant and do not like criticism. Seems they prefer disgruntled customers more then saving face.

although you can't paint them all with the same brush, some do after a while concede and apply simple common sense fixes.

I did say a few pages back codemasters had the sense to lock the replays to v sync 30fps and offer the pit chat via DS4, TV or headset, which is improvements begged for over on the project cars forums - nothing ever done to fix it...

I have just made things considerably smoother for me by rebuilding my drive database. It's no longer stuttering at the same point on Australia.

The tearing is still there and it still slows at times but not to a slideshow like before...

BS call and I notice how in the replay the water spray only starts 10 seconds into the video, poor.
