F1 2016

Soon as I get my monitor sorted as currently I'm waiting for a new screen to arrive from Dell, it was meant to be here today and I've now relocated my older screen to another area of the house and I can't be bothered to move it all back as hopefully new screen should be here tomorrow I'll get cracking into the time trials again..

Hey all I wonder if you guys can help me out with couple of questions. Really liking the look of this game and I am on the edge of buying....seems like code masters have really nailed it this time from what I have read.

Wondering how much my Amd 7950 at 1440p will hinder the experience? (CPU is a mildly overclocked i5-3570K). I was thinking of upgrading my GPU anyway - would an rx480 or 1060 perform best for this game?

I am also thinking of getting a wheel but my budget isn't too much, maybe £100. I can get a T150 for that which seems to be a decent starter wheel - any compatibility issue to worry about for this game? How do people find using force feedback wheels with chairs that swivel - any issues with that?

Thanks!

cant see a 7950 doing well at that res. 970 gtx handles 1080 well.so i would say 1440 min id be using is 970 or above.

Same.

We had some fun doing the time trial modes every week with the likes of you, CaptainRave and Mr.Fantastic being consistently the fastest. I've not touched it since really. Actually I think I got 2013 for the old school cars and tracks which was pretty fun but I didn't really get into it like 2010/2011.

If I can get this for £20 or less like previous years then yeah I'll probably pick it up.

I stopped racing after 2011 due to other commitments. But yeah, we had great fun on F1 2010 and 2011. I found the archived threads, one of which was initiated by you :)

Wow good memory, I remember F1 2010 and the OCUK hot lapping, that was back before I got a wheel, I can't remember his forum name, but I also remember the chap that posted videos of him hot lapping Canada. He was pretty quick.
Could have been Nikaz? He was pretty amazing and taught me a few things.

Alright! I've only gone and done it!

Join the shiny new Overclockers UK F1 2016 group on Steam!

Rave, would you be so kind as to put the link in the OP :)

Happy Racing folks!

Thanks for setting that up, joined.

Had a great TT moment yesterday - was posting a banker time for Bahrain and after beating one rival my next one was Witor! Took me a few laps but finally managed to just edge a slightly quicker time :D

Joined the OCUK F1 group and did some hot lapping at Monza last night. Really close times on the friends leaderboard. But I was happy with my time I got.

Playing the game at native 1440p with g sync now. Wow, game changer. Graphics are nice, but the fps boost using a 144mhz g sync screen was just another level.

Made the game even more enjoyable.
