F1 2016

Seem to be about 3 seconds off the pace of the top people on the leaderboard. I am driving with all assists off on a DFGT and having run laps with a top 10 ghost, my downfall is simply traction out of corners. The top people just seem to be able to floor it straight away so always pull away out of corners.

Tips!?

Top people on here or the leaderboard? 3 seconds off world leaderboard is good.

Traction is down to car set up and slowly applying the accelerator because if you brake traction it's game over.

Start by lowering the diff % and going soft on suspension. I was lowering rear tyre pressure to but testing more it doesn't seem to make a huge difference

:D shouldn't be too hard - your time is 1:34.303 with mine a 1:34.173!

It's F1nners that we need to catch - 1:31.041

;)

I'll admit I went to do a banker lap and just couldn't get a really good car set up so ended up doing lots of laps.

Still not happy with that time as it's a real struggle but either it's a difficult track or I've gone in the wrong direction with car set up.

On the flip side I did the same on Singapore and my first car set up feels amazing, so easy! I know I can go over a second quicker on Singapore but haven't done many laps

Just finished the European Grand Prix in Baku... Damn that one made me sweat - I've definitely been struggling with the street circuits!

Top people on the leaderboard.

If I can nail getting the power on more and earlier I would be up there but it is very hard.

Still, this is quite easily the best F1 game they have made (maybe anyone has made). I am really enjoying career mode and have found a nice balance difficulty wise. Started with Renault, expert difficulty and no assists and averaging around 12ish in Qualy and occasionally I am getting into the low points scoring positions in the race. Feels just right and believable without being dull and finishing 17th every race.

Thankfully it doesn't suffer with the game killing problem of the AI driving faster (faster lap times) in the race than in qualy like some of their earlier games!! That really ruined career mode for me.

Runs lovely on my 1070 at 1440p as well all maxed (seems to stick at around 80fps at all times).

First game in a while that I am glad I took a punt at a low price and preordered! :p

We are doing Bahrain this weekend might want to get some laps in on that.

Won't be doing any TT today, down the pub tonight.

Ah ok I'll get some hotlaps in tonight on that track if that is the one we are going for right now..

Not one of my better tracks, but I'll have a go.

little twist corner> is that the one with the castle tower to your left as you first enter and up hill.

Very good circuit-->Nice and Fast.:cool:

yep.you really have to turn in earlier than it looks like.you can feel the car slide aswell.so you really have to be ready.

that is great that you can feel the car do that but also enraging when you clip the wall on a perfect lap.:p

Is £35.99 from Kinguin for a safe/legit Steam cd key as good as it gets?

No, sure it's £30 after you sign into an account on greenmangaming, shows as £33 now but a discount is applied when signed into an account

Look at cdkeys.com to, was £30 last time I looked

43 hours in and finished my first championship (short qually and 25% races) with McLaren, not sure who to go with now. This time I need to up the difficulty and might do full qually and 50% races.
Wont be for a while tho.

Anyone know of a video series or things I could read to understand the basics of how to race and common F1 terminology used?

I suck so bad, I even struggle to follow the line on the track

Got a G29 wheel, if that helps.
