if this is real, then the Merc is looking sleek
You say dressed up the show car, what does that mean? That the FIA physically produced a car and gave one to all of the teams to parade around?

Fake, for one Epson are not a sponsor anymore, the faker messed up there!
I don't get it. Why do a pointless "launch" with a fake car when you're running the real thing the same day?
Because they pre-recorded the launch!
You realise that explains nothing, right?

The whole car is too low, obviously fake..Fake, for one Epson are not a sponsor anymore, the faker messed up there!
The front wing is to low, yada yada yada...
Surely a lot of this has to be down to the budget cap. They are not going to spend extra on this sort of stuff, have sponsor demands to meet, and limited time.Because how else could they show contempt towards the fans?

The F1 launches of old are gone for the time being.
It's not contempt.
Would launches be covered under the budget cap? I'd have thought they'd count as "costs Directly Attributable to Marketing Activities" (excluded in 3.1a of the Financial regs) rather than anything that would be considered a sporting benefit.
Still seems pretty contemptuous to have your real car run the same day but do a launch with a fake one to me.
Just take a photo of the car at the track job done launch sorted. Easy.
There's really point in launches.
