F1 Manager Game

my second season, and im finding it a bit easy to be honest.

half those teams are CPU bot teams thats why :) puma blaze belini spectre

What till you win that league... you'll be 3 laps behind like me :( i jumped 40+ leagues from 7x to 35.

(scroll up a bit :( )

Yeah but fixed now.

Is it sad that I recognise the 5* HQ building as the House the FBI/Cops had comandeered in The Fast and the Furious? :/

hmm going to be trial and error then acid, but if you are developing yer own stuff i would suggest not going witht he jonda chassis, you need to give yourself an edge over yer opponent, so maybe go for better tyres or engine than him instead.

also when developing yer own suff develop i tto the same level i.e

20/20/20/16

on all parts then move up so the best thing to do is look at how much you can upgrade each part by per race then decide on what you want it to be.

then upgrade all 9 car parts to the same level and start again. the reason for this is stability. if you develop one part that is way better than the others it can reduce the stability of the car. the other option you have is to work out what the parts are on the toyo chasis now and improve them all slightly to make the car 100% stable. this would also give you an edge over the jonda chassis as that might only be 75% stable in comparison.

my first advice ont his would be to write down what each of the 9 parts of the toyo chasis are, then add them up. i.e 20/17/14/14 = then when upgrading make them all equal the same that will give a 100% stable chasis.

so if 8 parts - 43 and one is 37, upgrade the part thats 37 to 43 and boom improved stability :)

if you dont get any of that ill try and explain better however im only just grasping it myself lol

I think a better way to say this is that the stability is based on the standard deviation of the statistics of the part (or chassis)

Stability formula(excel):

=100-(STDEV(A1:A36)*100/AVERAGE(A1:A36))

Requirements:
Cells a1 to a36 must be filled with the stat (in %) of each of the parts of your chasis (internal and external)

Stability only applies to the chassis overall

For individual parts it is the reliability that you will want to be good. the forumla for this is
(Reliability X 3)/(Grip + Aero + Weight) = Chance of retirement (0.5 bad, 1 stable).

If you have a result of more than 1 then you are wasting development.

wahoo, sponsor was 1.4mill not 300k. Upgraded tyres, chassis and engine. now 1.5secs a lap faster in practice despite running 25 laps more fuel.
1,2 in qaulifying as well. Looking good for race.

Those 5 stars are nice eh? :)

About to sign my last, replacing my second original sponsor for £137k :)

Poor qualifier again. Thank goodness for my drivers, although Miguel Pfeifer is getting slow... guess he might be testing next season.

another tight race dampcat, 1st and third again for you, 2nd and fourth for me :(

i think your drivers are the main difference unless you've changed anything ? you're main driver pulled out like 4 seconds on me in the last few laps !

Which chassis is the best do you think in the private leagues ? I have gone for the Mclovin seemed most balanced to me. But im wondering if I should have gone for the Ferrenzi instead now.

Engine wise I chose ferrenzi most are on the mercey but that seemed to unreliable to me and I noticed mechanical problems for some so far.

Also whats with the tyres ive stuck with marathons dont seem like the other offer the all round goodness of them.

Ferrenzi seems to give slightly better performance from what ive noitces (chassis)

Mercy is def faster that Ferrenzi, but has you say that is at the cost of possible technical problems

Ferrai tyres are good, also maverick are good

I have set up a private league for everyone here if you guys want to get a look at what the game will look like next time round.

League name: GP2
password: password1

Its a pro leauge so it wont end after 10 days.

well good race last night, finished 1st and second, however problems ahoy going into the next race lol

me being a retard changed all chassis parts o my own, just o see what the stats were looking like.

i then forgot to change them back for qualifying DOH !

so looks like im going to have to write off tonights race and put it down to experience lol

Doh

I got 1,2 laast night and qaulified 1,2 today, that's more like it, get another big sponsor tomorrow.

This desiging own chassis is time consuming to say the least, I recon season 4 at least, before I can use my own.

well im on season 3 at the moment and im only at half my parts 40/40/32/38 they need to be 60/60/50/55 or thereabouts to be better than ferrenzi so thats at least the remainder of this season and probably next at the very least. thats no accounting for any advanced components.
