F1 Manager Game

Woohoo, I now have what looks like a Windows 95 CAD machine and a level 2 Transit van to wine and dine my sponsors hahaha.

Anyone got news on this http://www.gprm.co.uk/ Been waiting for bloody ages and every time I see this F1 Manager Game thread on the front page I enter with a bit hope that someone has news of an actual game coming out on PC. But it never happens :( Maybe if F1 2010 is successful, we may get a management game too, but I'm doubtful.

i think its unlikely to pick up any major publishers, not wide enough target market. IF it can be bolted on to F1 2010 as some kind of paid DLC then that would be ideal!

Getting pushed abit further back in leauge 1 now, and on the schuey server am starting to do quite well, although its a real struggle for cash at the minute, any one else doing the schuey server or are most peoplehere free members and therefore just doing one game at a time?

I had a quick glance through my pictures folder today. For a few weeks now i would be on the "young driver program page" and keep thinking, hmm im sure i was there. And sure enough i was.

good first race! keep going like that and you'll be ok!

as for apit stop calc, we had one for the old server, but this new one has to many unknown variables to create one, best thing to do is in the first few races, try and see how many laps your drivers can do before their tyres turn red, and then next race try to set up your pits so that your tires dont go into the red.

there are plenty of things that affect how fast your tyres wear

I've had 2 seasons running at the back (12th-13th) so I'm hoping that this next season coming up I will be closer to the front. I've been building my chassis and saving my cash to splurge on a good driver and engine :) However that is all heavily dependant on which league I get thrust into.

I'm currently in league 9, and had settled for 3rd place behind the two leaders, but another team has come for no where and I have no hope of pulling back. One problem I've noticed is the cars infront are 20% less than me but they all have mega engines making them unbeatable :(

yeah that issue is being discussed atm, limiting engine speeds at lower leagues so you cant just buy success. Either buy a super engine yourself or another save season :(

Whats your income per race overlag?

Currently in league 3 on Schumacher, and with two races of the season left I've had a good chacne to start on next seasons chassis (I'd wrapped up both championships in this league a few races back).

Was quite good to get in near the start (missed the first week or two I think), but will be playing catch-up a little. Still very new to the game, but winning league 3 should be a good start on Schuey.

Won a championship on Stewart, and doing ok, but keep resigning myself to a "save" season. Ploughing all my money in again next season so fingers crossed.
