Hi guys I was wondering if anyone knows of the F1's having trouble as mine is having trouble it keeps becoming undetectable in windows then on reboot it is totally undetectable but if I power down count to 10 then turn on its fine.
Ive checked the leads changed the ports but no change ,
Ive now lost all my stuff due to all the files being currupt ,
Im getting a little P@!#sed cos I bought it to be my stable storage drive for my 2 raptors.

My system is
qx6850
4GB teem xtreem ram
EVGA 680
EVGA 8800 ultra KO
2xWD raptors 150GB (raid0)
1x Samsung FI 1T

If I was you I would check the drive out with the manufacturers disk tool and give it a good test. If it passes the test it's most likely nothing wrong with your drive.

Has this happened more than once? It could be that there is some issues with your PSU or the cables that connect the drive to the PSU and mobo.

Until you made sure it's working 100% I wouldn't put anything on there you can't afford to lose or that you haven't backed up.

That rig is quite power hungry, especially if your CPU or GFX card are OC'ed. What power supply do you have?

I have already given it a going over with sammys diagnostic tool and I also tried different power leads in different connections.
Oh my psu is a Enermax Galaxy 850W and I havent bothered OC the system.

This happened to me once with my F1 1T

I went to my PC to be greeted by a BSOD in Vista, and on a reboot i had an undetectable boot disk

i rebooted again and same problem.

I thought it was dead and turned it off, gave it one more try after an hour and it worked.

That happened about a week ago and its not done it since.

I'm on XP and it is intermittent some sessions its fine others it a pain , I haven't even filled 25% yet well I haven't filled any now that I lost all my data and to add insult to injury I had an external drive with 500,000 clip art on it along with a load of data, and when I went to reinstall XP after my viral attack I accidentally deleted the partition ,
so if anyone knows how I would be able to recover that I would be greatly appreciative
