Out of interest, when was a life last lost due to the lack of a halo?I support it IF its purpose is to save drivers lives.

Surely Bianchi's accident was the last one where the driver could have been saved by the halo?
Blame Vettel for that. When Ferrari trialed the screen he said it caused too many reflections which were distractingAh, I thought I could remember there being contact with his helmet. But that's very true, the huge force from the sudden deceleration is what caused his injuries. It's a shame they didn't stick to using a screen like they have in IndyCar. Looks so much better and would stop the tiny fragments that a halo can not.
A guy that runs up to the car with some windex and an old newspaper, in the pits?Main problem with a screen is how to deal with spray/fogging/dirt that gets on it.

He reported getting dizzy which you would never want in an F1 car. Fairly more serious than just being "distracting".Blame Vettel for that. When Ferrari trialed the screen he said it caused too many reflections which were distracting
No doubt, but it didn't seem to be given the same level of due diligence as Halo has.He reported getting dizzy which you would never want in an F1 car. Fairly more serious than just being "distracting".
