Your assuming Virgin, a band new team, have got anything more than the bare minumum ready in time to go testing? Give over, give them a break. They probubly havent made more than 1 or 2 nose cones and wings yet, they were hardly expecting the wing to break were they?

They are the first of the new teams to make it to testing, and are ahead by quite a margin compaired to the others. Dont slate them just because they dont have a truck full of spare parts! I think its a real shame for them.

Exactly!!

VR have done far better than the other new teams (perhaps not better than Stefan GP though ;))

Building an F1 car from scratch, and expecting them to be running up with the big boys after ONLY a shakedown and 2.5 days of testing is a bit much to ask!

I would almost be more worried if they encountered NO problems in testing. The car will need to be on edge to be competative, and on edge is where the errors are made.

Also, get the problems out of the way in testing. The take a finished and relaible car to the races...

Do we think all this Pitot tube testing by Mclaren is a good or bad thing! Are they scrabbling around to find out what's wrong, or just taking data, and refining some tiny things pointing to them being waaaay ahead and happy with testing so far?

Unless they got a nose through the FIA crash test 1st time [which i highly doubt] they would have quite a few nose boxes sat at the factory. As for wings, it can happen to any team at anytime. There is no accounting for structural failure sometimes ask Massa!

I think its fair to assume they are as almost fast as the red car and are doing everything they can to get ahead. /tinfoil

this norbert guy must be strong and fast! sounds like he jogs around at the side of the car and if theres any breakdowns he will pick him up and carry him back to the pits
